i'm interested to see how the skaters respond to marty coming in. they have one period to get a goal or two. philly's not great, so we'll see what they can do. fast start to the 3rd. sabres are coming on strong and are now on the PP. please don't have anything break down at the point. please???

well, after the 2nd, its 5-4 philly... sabres outscored them 4-3 in the period, however they're still down. Miller needs to sit on the bench till tuesday now. Whether he's tired or his psyche is breaking, its time for marty. With that said, the sabres are not out of this one at all. they just need to put togehter another few drives and shore up the defense a little. also, no more SHG would be great.

ok, the bleeding is over. end of 1st period. nothing good can be said on this. if this team wants to run with the big dogs it won't make dumb mistakes that lead to goals. they actually didn't play all that bad. they had some decent scoring chances, but they're down 0-2. they need a goal early.

game over. 8-5 sabres call me crazy, but i'll take this 8-5 victory over an 8-0 shelacking. Goaltending was terrible. Defense sucked. penalty kill sucked. so did clearing the puck, neutral zone play, and for the most part there was zero sustained offensive zone play. With that said, this victory was a sure fire loss in the past. The sabres get their 2 points and now play for first place in the division against philly on saturday, with this crappy victory in their minds. I'm so glad to see this team pull off a victory in a game that they should have lost. Now, bring on the 8-0 shelacking of a team that matters, the cryers.

I think i'm going to call directv and complain about these clowns... I recommend anyone else who has center ice through directv do the same. Complain about NESN, pimp msg, complain that the viewers do not get to choose the feed of their choice, and demand some credit!
