To be somewhat fair - Cassidy was a very odd choice and many of us predicted that he was the worst possible coach to get the best out of Jack. But whatever. I can’t imagine a Sabres team without Tuch. It feels like he’s been here for years and I can’t wait to watch him be part of this team’s impending success. Onward and upward.

If it were just about (lack of) availability, I don’t think his coach would be calling him out like this. I am ready to move on from him. He seems weak - both mentally and physically. Just so rarely makes strong individual plays and has yet to take a game over. He doesn’t have it.

Interesting too that Skinner is thriving in THIS kind of environment - I always thought of him as kind of a dumpster-diver scorer who was at his best in a high shot-volume offense. Either he’s adapted or I was wrong (or both). And for that matter - also interesting that VO, supposedly our best pure shooter - is struggling in this type of scenario.

He is “driving play” as they say.
