  1. Eichel’s heart is located in his lower body? How odd!
  2. If he’s not hurt, he’s trying to get himself traded. By pouting like a toddler.
  3. RK fully endorses the Dick Jauron strategy of hiding under a blanket so as not to get embarrassed by a blowout loss. That’s why the “advanced stats” aren’t terrible - they play to keep it close, preferring to lose by 1 goal every night. I haven’t seen a single exciting PLAY out of this team in two years. The Isles had multiple such plays in each period last night. SELL THE TEAM TERRY.
  4. I don’t mind the losing so much as the lack of enjoyment watching them. Before this past season the Bills were a 500ish team but at least they were fun to watch most weeks - you never knew what Allen was going to do (good or bad) and they looked like they were having fun playing together. The Sabres are brutal to watch. And I’m done watching them, I canceled CenterIce last night so unless they’re playing a NYC team, I won’t be able to see the games. Won’t miss them in the least.
  5. Franchise is on life support.
  6. Yeah they'd give up some goals. But they'd put pressure on the other team and actually be watchable. And it would at least play to their strengths instead of covering up their weakness (poorly I might add). They've got a generational talent at "offensive defenseman." They've got Eichel in his prime. They went out and spent $8M on a 1-year rental of Taylor Hall. They chose not to get help at goaltending. I didn't make these decisions, they did. Open up the damn offense. This is an absolute disgrace.
  7. Strategy. RK has them playing defensive hockey which seems to favor 2-3 high-quality chances per game over putting the puck on the net and taking chances. It’s horrible to watch and it isn’t working. And worse, it announces to his team that he lacks confidence in them.
  8. The complete lack of competence in the owner’s box means they’ll have to just stumble into hiring the right guy, which happened (eventually) with the Bills. To their credit once it happened on the football side they had the smarts not to screw it up. But they’re basically throwing darts at the wall with absolutely no idea what they should be looking for and a stubborn unwillingness to take advice (and the botched Botterill be-knighting only increased their lack of trust in outsiders). The problem is upstairs. We’re basically hoping for good luck at this point. Which is fine but it’s hardly a strategy. I canceled my CenterIce subscription this morning.
  9. Vogl says the Sabres are “furious” with the league and the Devils.
  10. Sabres are furious with the league and NJ per Vogl.
  11. Yes really. They have more on-ice talent than many of the teams they lose to. They continue to hire the wrong leaders.
  12. Team is absolute garbage and it’s not a lack of talent - except in the ownership box.
  13. The problem is and has been coaching. Since the guy on the other side of the ice left.
  14. Staahl can’t skate anymore. Every year we add 2-3 guys with dead legs.
  15. Pretty good period despite generating zero scoring chances somehow.
  16. Now you’re making him do it.
  17. They all make such weird decisions, individually. Like why did Miller circle back there? I can’t understand what they’re even trying to do half the time. Or drunk. Had the same thought. He’s a half second late on everything.
  18. Narrator voice: ”They were NOT very good.”
  19. That is what happens when YOU WILL NOT SHOOT THE PUCK.
  20. These guys are unwatchable losers.
  21. Who is this play-by-play guy and why does he sound like someone is sitting on his stomach?
