It’s interesting - the players they netted from the Eichel and O’Reilly trades ended up being really good, and if Levi pans out, the same can be said for the Reinhardt trade. Not saying those were the right trades at the right times but still.

See now I enjoyed that. Quinn has serious wrists. That’s why his floor is higher than Cozens to me. -
What in the world happened to Jack Quinn?

I would not be surprised if Quinn becomes a perennial all star or if he washes out of the league completely. Literally either option seems highly possible. -

All of this is true but sports leagues are somewhat different. They are closely-held oligarchies whose members rely on each other in a myriad of ways. Yes some of them can be impervious to peer pressure but it tends to not work out too well in the long run. Dan Snyder being the most recent example but there have been several instances in the NBA where owners have pressured other owners to make changes and even forced buyouts. The league suffers if a hockey market like Buffalo fails - and that is not an unlikely scenario at this point given brand value, fan apathy, a rising salary cap and a fragile local economy. -

The last thing we need here is more players with terrible judgment…. kidding sort of -
But even for this team it was shocking. The second period started with a power play and they were just, like, standing there. Like it was intentional. The announcers were like wtf guys? It almost looked like they were throwing the game on purpose I am telling you. Something is seriously wrong with this group.

There hasn’t been an NHL team in Buffalo for many years.

Draft picks aside....this organization has no FA/Trade leverage

Ok but have you considered the local flora and fauna and the impact they may be having on the hockey team? -

At this point it’s just rubber-necking. -
I am more talking about the team administration up to the owner’s box. When results don’t matter at the top of the organization - well, you know what they say about how a fish rots.

Which is a symptom of the bigger problem of: NOT WANTING TO CONSISTENTLY WORK Which probably is a symptom of the bigger problem of not being held accountable.

This team goes from middling to good when Quinn and Cozens are on. And from good to really good when Quinn and Cozens are on and the goaltending shows up. -
He must know he is down to his last chip.
