The only thing interesting in this game is the underside of their scoreboard -

Was it just me or did Eichel just receive an all pro crosscheck with no call?? -

Hopefully missing those Grade A chances don't come back to bite us in the a$$... Again -

I thought he was actually playing better than he had been. -

I was upset that I couldn't watch the game today, and now I'm glad I didn't. It's incredible how much of a carbon copy of last year this season is turning out to be. As big a fan as I have been of Eichel, I would be willing to start taking offers. He just isn't the type of leader this team needs at this point. -
I was only thinking as a stop gap at wing, only if all our d-men get healthy and aren't traded. I could actually see him as an Andreychuk type, even if it is only on the PP. He's a big body, better skater, hands are questionable, but just park his dumb ass in front of the net.

Why wait til the ship is sinking to start tinkering? Again, all just a thought

I thought he had played D in juniors, but I could be wrong. As a scrapper, Jean-Luc was entertaining!!
-
Didn't Pominville start out as a D-man as well? Jean-Luc Grand Pierre went back and forth too. Not unprecedented, and obviously not likely with Risto.

Thanks, I appreciate it! It's pretty simple actually, don't read this thread, don't comment on it, and move on to the next one. You'll live longer. All I'm doing is tossing an idea out there. It's not any less crazy than the idea of bringing in a coach from the soccer ranks!
-
I could see Dahlin there too, but we need him on the blue line. His defense will eventually come around. Maybe a return to Sweden will help him out. Ristolainen is who he is at this point.

Maybe instead of size, I should've said physicality. Size doesn't translate into strength/physicality. Larsson, Girgensons and occasionally Okposo will throw their weight around. Our lack of physicality up front will eventually catch up with us. We didn't respond well to Anaheim's physical presence and will face more of it as the season rolls on. All I'm saying is with the surplus of NHL defenseman we have, and if they are not traded, why not use one of them up front for an extended period of time until we can make moves to address it. It doesn't necessarily have to be Ristolainen. Again, this is all one guy thinking outside of the box a little!!

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Good Lord, it’s merely a suggestion. It’s a lot easier to move a d-man to forward than vice versa. Maybe we drop Sobotka off in Sweden next week
-
Who knows... It’s merely a thought. We will eventually have a logjam of NHL defensemen when/if they all get healthy. We have a shortage of size up front and if we can’t trade him for adequate compensation, I’m merely suggesting why not give it a shot. If not him, maybe one of the others. Can’t get any worse than Rodrigues!
