We're heading back tonight to enjoy some snow, turkey and family time! Was even considering catching the Sabres game tomorrow night but cheapest tix I can find are $50. Crazy. That will be a hard pass!! Guess the days of finding $20 tickets in the nosebleeds on Stubhub are long gone!!!

This may have talked about somewhere, but what about trading Ryan Johnson’s rights for a warm bodied defenseman? Chances that he signs with the blue & gold seemed remote last I heard. What might he fetch us? Spitballing

Prolly gonna need an upgrade since Portillo or Levi (or both) will like go all Cal Peterson on us.

I'm not really sure what his comparative stats look like, but I agree, to me he has been disappointing. I was hoping that someone that was an 8th overall pick and who has spent the better part of 6 seasons in the NHL would look like more of a 2nd line center than a 4th liner. He looks really, really slow this year. This franchise can ill afford to have the ceiling for high draft picks become 4th liners. Does he have value? Sure. Is he valuable to this team? Meh. We have enough similarly sized guys in the AHL that could potentially slide into a 4th line role and kill a penalty or two. Don't know if it has been coaching, his ability, or the culture here (or all of the above), but he is nowhere close to what I think we all expected him to be at this stage in his career after his performance in the World Juniors back in the day.

You won't find another situation in the NHL like this. It's unfathomable that in a league where half the teams make the playoffs each year, AND getting top tier picks for more than a decade, that we've gained zero ground on anyone in our division or the league as a whole. It will likely be an entire generation of fans that will not see the blue and gold in the playoffs, let alone contend for anything. I piss and moan in these forums on occasion but for the most part, my spirit has been broken by this franchise and have distanced myself from hockey. As someone who grew up on skates and loving the Sabres, this is heartbreaking. Yep... Same shiite, different day/year

Physical play including fighting are missing from the game...

If nothing else, at least to maybe put an extra 5 people in the stands and create a little bit of excitement for this fan base once in a generation. -
Not that it really matters anymore, season's in the toilet already. No significant moves will be made. Lets be honest, Tyson Jost is the most significant roster change we'll see all year and that is simply to assist with the Rochester roster. When does this AHL roster win next? I vote December 7 @ Columbus. 15 game losing streak.

GDT: Sabres @ Maple Leafs, 11/19/22, MSG 📺 WGR 📻, 7pm

Just turning the game on. I’m assuming the same. No grit, no defense, rinse, repeat? -
What you see is what you get. Tyson Jost is our big grab of the year. Top 5 pick and will fail with whoever that may be. Rinse, repeat

Unfortunately, fighting will be phased out completely. Staged fights were always bothersome, but heat of the battle, trying to get your team energized fights will be missed. Maybe not by you all, but it is something was engrained in us older Sabre fans and is lacking. Even the days when the blue and gold weren't that good, fans showed up and you could feel the energy in the building that a scrap or two creates. This team plays like a Friday night men's league wannabe. -
I really hope we don't wind up in the Top 5, but with the current situation (roster, philosophy, incompetence, injuries, et al), all signs are pointing to the inevitable. Something needs to change in a hurry because this bunch is showing less and less fight and as the losses continue to pile up, it will be tough to stop that snow ball. This year's version of the playoff-less Sabres has zero toughness and while I would love to be able to add size in the draft, if by some act of God we wind up with the #1 pick, we also need a second line center, so Bedard it would have to be. Mittlestadt has proven to be worthless and Cozens appears to nothing more than a 3rd or 4th line center.
