I think they care at the same rate we and our coworkers care at our jobs. For me, hell yes I want this business to grow and so we need to win new deals/contracts/clients, etc. But man some days it rough, and family life, and burn out, or we lose a deal to competitor, or the boss favors someone else, etc. This is where leadership comes in. This is where I point to Granato and his staff and Okposo, especially given the inexperience of the group.

CBJ, the only team in the East with more losses than Buffalo, are killing Toronto rn 5-0 late in 2nd. Solace I guess. And it's a spattering of boos as the home team leaves the ice after 2. And McCabe scores his first PP goal in 6 years (i think they said) and Toronto scores 5 in the 3rd to take it to OT. Man.

Right on. He's leading us to mediocrity and that's being generous. But don't worry we have a bunch of happy and balanced very wealthy young people on our team. All you need to do is watch a single shift of Jeff Skinner's to see it. "North Star" to Jeff Skinner? Absolutely not. Good guy, but week after week the other team lines up against him and says "Sabres? Pffft, Easy out."

Unfortunately I have tickets to about 12 more games this season so yeah what choice is there? Sell them I guess and try to reclaim 50 cents on the dollar. Absolutely not renewing if no playoffs. Same as all the other years, I'll shift back to just being a fan of the game and will still probably watch NHL most nights, just with less emotional investment.

Tuch or Cozens can be like Drury, very good player with leadership skills. I'm not sold on Dahlin as a leader yet and I'm a little snake-bit on the "special player" criteria. My leader needs to take care of the puck always and hold his teammates accountable, lead by example, not just be super skilled and high compete. Happy to be wrong here and acknowledging Dahlin has grown and will continue to. And I'm also very ready for change. And I agree with Inkman the teammates seem to say it, EJ said it a few weeks ago, though it felt weird like a robot saying it (and it's his job, both to mentor and say these words).

15th loss of the season, took them 30 games to get there. Pretty sure 30 losses = no playoffs. They are done and it is going to hurt the young "want to be here" vibe. This sucks.

I want to fight you on skinner. I agree when we have possession low in opponents zone he is valuable. The problem is everything else. He is constantly turning the puck over with low probability passes into the heart of the D. It's ***** every kid would be benched for in travel / high school etc. it's why RK did him the way he did and it's why Carolina bailed on him. If I was his teammate I would hate him. And so I assume many do. (Ok maybe they like him as a funny guy between stalls but they know they have to win in spite of him). Just play the game the right way as they say which means you take care of the gd puck.

Skinner is their best take and I agree 100%. Addition by subtraction as they say. Guy is an absolute disaster in terms of puck possession and no one (DG, Okposo, Dahlin) appears to be holding him accountable.

It's worth noting. Though most likely different refs remember it was Benson on the receiving end of several cross checks from Trouba in the home opener as he lay on the ice. No call of course, "know your place" says the NHL.

I think it was *hole stamkos. Don't disagree with it.
