For the record, Lindy post game on the 2nd goal against about Dahlin's choice to go behind the net despite his D partner already being back there, breaking a rule that 7 year old hockey players are taught and benched for breaking "... it was just a careless gamble that hurt us dearly." Accountability has arrived! That's 2 games in a row he's called out Dahlin's mistakes that lead directly to a goal against. My agenda aside, it was an entertaining game and they didn't deserve the W but they were in it and battled. For the first time in a long while, I think we have a real nice team here. Bounce back on Friday.

From Dahlin at this point - just take care of the puck and make good decisions. (See goal against #2 tonight for the latest bonehead moment). From my fantasy of being a GM - a # 1 D and Captain that is like Weber or Burns not like Dahlin, Power or Hughes.

Lol alright maybe that's too far. Point is, this team is missing intimidation and in my opinion that's very important to winning and our #1 overall and C Dahlin doesn't bring it. He also doesn't take care of the puck consistently, the way a leader and "best player" should. That's the biggest piece for me, just please take care of the gd puck, 100% of the time. I'm optimistic from the way they are playing this year and comments from Lindy and players (tage, clifton) they are starting to figure it out. (and thank you KA for punting Skinner to the great white north, which was step 1 of this build process) Hopefully from here Ws keep coming, they build some swagger, and Dahlin grows into the nasty boss no one wants to face. Until then, cool with me if fanbois wanna fanboi. I'll grumpy old man over here.

Word. And 25 minutes toi per game = we see him w/ the puck a lot and so it feels like more mistakes...but..yeah...just (as has been said many times before) I would much prefer we have a Shea Weber, Brett Burns or maybe even Trouba type as our #1 overall (2x) franchise D-man. Instead we get "i'm an offensive d-man!" Letang / Karlsson So yeah probably unfair dislike of him given what all he's carrying for the franchise, but give me more of "it" (know what it takes to win) and I'll change my tune quickly.

I have thing against him. He doesn't take care of the puck. He doesn't make the easy / smart plays, as Lindy said earlier this week "don't put unnecessary risk in the game". Thompson said something similar this week "we're learning." Expectations for a #1 overall are extremely high. Obviously he's an exceptionally talented skater and puck handler. And he seems to be invested and want it. But those qualities don't equate to understanding how to win in the NHL. And his body of work up to this point has proven he has yet to figure it out. Countless poor decisions w/ the puck on his stick that cost his team. I can't wait to be wrong, the sooner the better, but for me it's been a frustrating couple of years with Dahlin being anointed as the salvation / "best player".

It is perplexing. Maybe he didn't work out in the off season? Something is very off. That said, great game! They earned the W for sure and full team effort. Stars missed on some high quality chances but them the breaks. More of that effort please.

Voted if no playoffs but too soon for me to say. Half season, year three. Bought after year one of Cozens Thompson etc and the promise of the new core post ahole Eichel. Thing is, going to the games is fun/quality times with family and friends, win or lose. Drive from ROC is time to catch up. Probably much less costly ways to accomplish that but I love hockey - NHL, AHL, NCAA, etc and can afford it at this moment so rolling with it.

I saw the silhouette of the new scoreboard Monday night in the dark at a show. It is HUGE! And if anyone watched games last night (or go look at box scores) people need to chill out. We got 82 games my friends, this isn't the NFL.

Just finished E3 - Leads are Swayman & Tkachuk (Bruins vs Panther series). It's very good, but also a little depressing. Will we ever get there? Ugh. Definitely recommend dialing this series up if you like the behind the scenes stuff. Lots of good on ice mic too. Florida coach rips 'em good at one point.
