  1. There's another narrative he's an EN specialist. I'm too lazy to look it up, but not buying it.
  2. Same, just watched. Now regret not going. Great job PSE and Miller. Will be there tomorrow and heard Miller is dropping the puck. I expect it will be standing ovation again.
  3. Same. It's not like we're talking Jake McCabe here, dude was the franchise for years. Plus, I have him on fantasy.
  4. And equally good catch and settle and shot by Cozens. Could get used to seeing that for the next 5 years.
  5. heh, fair, [delete draft]. And today's probably not the day.
  6. Never Ever League is at Bill Grays (MCC). This is Zamboni in Fairport which I think is similar theme but more simple. The beginner Zamboni group is extremely welcoming and a good mix of brand new players and a few with experience but not necessarily interested in glory / just out for the laughs and exercise. I hear ya re demoralizing. The guy that runs Zamboni (Luke) is fantastic in terms of setting the tone and keeping it cool.
  7. Agreed. Can see some having tendency to stick nose in it after a shift as opposed to engaging in conversation with coach / teammates. Cassidy's comments were good "find a balance".
  8. Zamboni at Thomas Creek aka Rochester Ice Center. It's more like pick-up than a league. No refs, no scoresheet. "Coach" takes us through drills for 15-20 minutes first, then game on. Coach blows whistles for icing and off-sides, drops puck for face-offs, calls the occasional penalty (penalty shot). Other than that it's mostly fun and laughs and the progression as an adult learner is so addictive if you are that type.
  9. Interesting conversation tonight 2nd int vegas vs dallas - discussing an Eichel interview w/ the home town guy. Jack taking responsibility for his ***** energy. Ha. Also Torts banned ipads on the bench? And Cassidy is considering the same. Hmmph.
  10. Zamboni Intermediate at Thomas Creek. I've heard BG's is a little more amped. If you can hang with 20-something AA/AAA you might get a little bored/frustrated with this group. There's also an Advanced group. The guy that runs it re-rosters the two teams every week (same 25-30 guys typically) so I think that helps prevent any dumb stuff. Walk-ins welcome, PM me if you gonna try it.
  11. These stories are rough. Feeling fortunate because here in Roc we have a Sunday night league of mostly adult beginners. Vibes are 99% good. If you get knocked down usually there's an apology and attempt to help you up. It's terrible hockey but huge fun.
  12. Yes Martin Luther King Jr. day. Full slate of NHL games today with several early starts.
  13. Back in October Florida handed the Sabres their first loss of the year. Takchuk delivered a cheap shot or two and Dahlin was not putting up with it. Lots of emotion at the end of the game. Fast forward three months and the Panthers aren't what was expected. Hopefully the Sabres keep em down.
  14. He's been creating good opportunities but yeah pick a corner or something. Between last night and the Minnesota game he should have had a couple goals.
  15. Felt like he was getting skipped/benched in the last 7 or 8 of the 3rd vs Minnesota too.
  16. Man this had to be peak WGR. Miss it.
  17. on kulich turnover. woof
  18. Gold medal game going to OT. Kulich w/ a 3rd period goal to bring them within 1. Czechs play a nice 5 v 5 game. Don't like their chance in 3 v 3 OT.
  19. Bronze medal game is nuts! Going to OT now, 7-7.
  20. Found it! Thanks.
  21. It was a nice surprise! But...I didn't get the pin (half-season hold back perhaps) and the print on my plaque is askew. (tee up the miller joke, but seriously kinda meh vs quality)
  22. Ah this makes sense because I saw what @LTSsaw. No battle, was a weird look.
  23. Yeah the schedule is very busy after the all star break. Almost every other day through first week of April.
  24. Peterka posted a picture of himself celebrating a goal (most likely) and a picture of himself dressed handsomely in typical hockey player off-ice duds. And he posted "Merry Christmas". Then: msamuelsson23 replied Wow John these pictures have a lot to do with Christmas
  25. These two are funny. Peterka and Quinn go shopping. Learning how the poster display works...haha. Then Peterka and Quinn give gifts. They actually did that to MIddlestat! Wow
