I actually expect it Gatorman. I mean, how do these players explain what was just witnessed these 2 days? Are they literally that bad individually at hockey? Do they all hate one another? Are they all seeing the same motivational speaker in one on one sessions? I mean for real, what in the hell were they doing during the games? They looked like a pack of monkeys trying to hump the same football.

Ah yes, let's see who's dreams are going to be crushed next.

It's not "only 2 games". It's 4 points to a conference opponent. There's more here than merely "waiting for the team to find themselves" or "giving them time to get to know each other". The season has started, training camp is over. Setting the tone for the season by handing 4 points to a conference opponent while not showing up, at all, is quite frankly......disgraceful.

Predictable, and not surprising at all. Can we do away with sending Buffalo teams to Europe now please?

Their talent had little to do with what went on these past 2 games. Puck possession is everything, the Devils had it, in spades, the Sabres had none. That's just the truth. Lost pucks, puck battles, poor zone exits, entries, all starts with strong puck possession. This entire roster does not hustle to the puck, with puck or to a high danger position to receive the puck, and it shows.

My god, they aren't even an NHL competitive team at this point. They are AHL material, and that's not angered hyperbole either. That's just straight out physically viewing the decision making at the mngt lvl and the players those decisions put on the ice in actual NHL games. Yes, it's that bad.

This team sucks man. Wow, can't even improve with time. Something is really really wrong in Buffalo. Hockey players come here to learn disfunction.

Think positive, it frees up that time each week for those crocheting video lessons you've been trying to get to. Knit 1 pearl 2......

Shouldn't surprise anyone. Our puck possession players are not NHL level caliber. It's been known for 3 seasons now.

Just take away after take away. Is the Sabres roster an actual NHL roster at this point? They are getting schooled in simple puck possession.

I'm not willing to wait a quarter of the season or more, I've waited 13 seasons now. Waiting is over.

They look exactly the same as last season. Something needs to change here, a couple of these players need to be moved out in a deal that brings in a better player imho. We simply cannot do the definition of insanity forever.

Don't expect a different performance next game. The Devils are 2 classes ahead of the Sabres and it shows. And they jettisoned their coach and still performed at an elite NHL level, that's the players, who are volumes more professional than our roster and it showed tonight, will show the next game. Sorry, just calling it as I see it.

No worries ink. I'm nearly as p issed as you are, probably the same. I only have 4 drinks in me. My wife is a god send, at the start of the 2nd, I tore a muscle in my stomach screaming at the TV. Good thing she did what was necessary to calm me down. I'm fuming over this season opener performance, with a smile thanks to the wife of course, but fuming.

Bills, Sabres = Apples to Oranges. Sabres don't have a Josh Allen, although, I think the Bills D is better, and that's saying a lot. I firmly believe Sabres faithful, those that are left anyways after these past 13 years, are well within the norm to expect their team to come out firing on all cylinders. They didn't. If that doesn't concern you I'd ask where you've been these past 13 years. Cut those of us distraught, concerned, disappointed, down right p issed some slack. We've been through a historical ringer here. Just sayin.....

Lindy is at least a playoff team coach. I get it. Not happy with the results in game 1, but I get it. These players though, they need to step up.
