Most likely outcome to be honest. What fans are left, especially amongst the young, are most certainly numb to this ending to Sabres seasons by now, it’s been so long an entire generation is not merely apathetic, they’re most likely fans of other teams, and can anyone truly blame them if that is the case? I can’t.

ROR’s internal defeat as a premier player in his prime at the time. That more than any other event from the tank is permanently etched in my Sabres fan mind. To myself in any event, it was not only the bi-product of the first build out from the tank, but it appeared to linger, the mindset, the culture, long after his departure. His comment of losing his love for the game was the billboard poster statement of the tank imho.

We already have two 1st over alls on the roster and nothing has changed. The draft position myth is over, 1 more top 5 isn’t going to matter. Veterans, that will make a difference. -

I haven’t seen D that tight since the chastity belt line up on prom night back in 88. -

Sabres recall Östlund from Rochester, April 4, 2025
Scottysabres replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
This organization has a very real problem with destroying young, unprepared, talented players by throwing them in to the parent clubs disaster. Let the kids develop without being subjected to this sideshow bob circus already Kevyn. You’ve done more than enough damage, why torture another round of this organizations future? -
There is no reason to. Address the defensemen deficiencies, sign and/or trade for what veteran presence defense and forward ranks with consistent 60 minute game play in mind. The team is young, lacks that veteran presence. Zucker and Greenway are a start, get 3 or 4 more. Offensive ability isn’t lacking, defensive play and consistency are imho.

He’s not wrong. Zucker and Greenway are good examples. The problem isn’t the strategy concept, the problem is in its implementation. It’s abundantly clear the desire to win here hasn’t taken hold the way Adams speaks on it, and that failure is on him as much as it is on the youth of the players the attempted culture establishment is for. There appears to be a disconnect between the reality of the time frame, both for Adam’s and the fan base. While it’s true fans have absorbed a great deal of organizational product abuse, it’s also true that Adam’s has had more than ample time to address this. His prolonged time line has only further damaged the brand to the fans imo. To myself in any event, and maybe others, this strategy timeline is a failure and I am in the LGR camp, where it shows incompetence even to the casual fans at this point. just my view is all. Have a great day and Go Sabres against the Pens tonight!!!

What difference would a top 4 pick make? They have 2, I kid you not, 2 first over alls on the current roster and the team is still ass. draft pick location isn’t going to help this, that’s already factually been proven.

This was great, thx. I caught the Boston game, 1 of only a handful of games since Xmas. Work combined with a lack of interest. But I do read the boards quite a bit and check the scores, read the articles, talk about them from time to time with family/friends. I do hope we are turning a corner this coming off season. I’m optimistic, but cautiously.

As long as it translates in to a ticket to one of the eastern conference playoff seats I don’t care if it’s Sabrestooth that talks to Terry. The management and coaching money doesn’t count towards the cap, so my only interest is a run in the post season dance.

What is the Strength of this Organization?
Scottysabres replied to Flashsabre's topic in The Aud Club
Well, there main strength is consistency, as in consistently not making the playoffs. They’ve mastered that I’d surmise. -
Would have been fun on the Bills, but depending on guaranteed in that contract a little rich for my blood. But ya, we need a deep threat.

I hear Von Miller is available (ducks)

I do not believe Houston would successfully support an NHL franchise, the demographics don’t fit. I was stationed in Houston and the surrounding bay areas just southeast of there for 6 years. I do however believe Jacksonville and Orlando could absorb an NHL franchise with some success, but ultimately I look to St. Pete/Tampa as a very viable candidate for a 2nd franchise. Why Florida? I lived there for a spell a couple of times, the demographics are heavy northern transplants, understand the game, and let’s be honest……….Palm Trees!

Sabres sign Jordan Greenway to a 2 year/4 million AAV Extension
Scottysabres replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Let’s be positive here. At least it’s not 7 x 7.1 mil. Dare I say it, for Adam’s, this is………Progress? 3 year Adam’s extension incoming since Terry now has the money to put that George Foreman panini grill on the back deck of the yacht.
