Didn’t they just trade their Franchise QB? -

That sequence resulted in zero shots. Not a horrible period, but did they register three shots on goal? Need more. -

I think he means on the first line. Tage took his last shift. -

“The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly; it is dearness only that gives everything its value. I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress and grow.” ― Thomas Paine -
Tied for the lowest Expected Goals for. Second last in Scoring Chances and second last in High Danger Chances. Although the last two are obviously impacted by the hiatus, still bottom 7 when adjusted for games played. Said by others, unwilling (or instructed) not to go and stay in front of the net. I would to see a Rick Vaive type player on this squad.

RFK- You might want to ensure 44 is on the bench next time Bazzel is on the ice -

No doubt. But to quote the great one, "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." Driving the player into the boards equals no save required. -

Dahlin struggled skating backwards. Horrible goal but definitely contributed to the play. There were two sabers Reinhardt and Miller covering the other side. Rasmus had no business playing off his man. No reason to even allow a shot. -
This is his Wally Pip moment. He skates Monday and replaces Montour in the starting 6.

I have Jeff, his agent, JB (and we heard that he was not convinced of the term) and Terry. Who else? -
Agreed. Not hearing this jagoff on HNIC is music to my ears. .

Is it though? The additions of Bieksa and “Stewy” have brought the quality down in my opinion. Also not a fan of Burke at all. McClean is a treasure, and Elliott is always good. NBC is stepping up its game. I think Sharp, Anson and Jones are solid in studio, and while play by play is lacking on NBC, the color commentators Brian Bouche and Eddie Olczyk are better than DeBrusk and Simpson. I like McGuire, but I can see others not appreciating his style. HNIC still has that certain something, but the margin is slimmer than you suggest.

Come on PA. You know the rules of Haiku. 5/7/5 syllables with a hint of nature as theme..... Many games, fun for fans Old guys struggle to keep pace Ice transitions Golf. I took liberties on PI’s last two statements. More games for Hutts can’t be good for their playoff chances.

Watching a lot of Montreal games myself. Does anyone remember that Marc Bergevin was fighting for his job only a year and a half ago? They struggled early in 2019/2020 including a six game losing streak but since then they have improved each month and now look like a contender. The top six is phenomenal. Off-season acquisitions of Anderson and Tafoli have early returns. They have 8 and 9 goals respectively. He signed Gallagher to a reasonable extension. His trade of Max for Tatar,Suzuki plus a second round pick is paying dividends. Suzuki alone looks like a win. Joel Edmondson (5th) has made Mete expendable. He swindled JB in the Scandella deal, earning an extra second round pick from Stl. And the trade for Allen (3rd) seemed questionable this summer, when they already had Price but they seem committed to lightening the load of Price. I believe he is 4-1 with a GAA under 2 and a save percentage north of .930. Imagine having a back up goalie playing lights out. Kevyn, are you paying attention?

I thought the same, but I've pivoted on this view. In aggregate, we are talking maybe 10k vaccines for the NHL & NBA (Players and local staff). Assuming vaccinations can somehow reduce the disruptions to the schedule and prevent some players from spreading the virus this can positively affect the mental health of millions of fans like us that probably will not be vaccinated for months. I'm doing my part by staying at home, but my mental health is better served if I can watch these guys play while I'm stuck inside. If the US can deliver 1 million units per day, then the compromised would be delayed at most 1 day to have this subsection of the population jump the line. A small price to pay. Secondarily, I've read a number of stories here in California where staff at health care facilities and hospitals who were eligible to be vaccinated were rejecting the opportunity at a rate of 30-50%. Some may have valid reasons for not complying, but if having a guy like Lebron James vaccinated (on tv, for all to see) might convince them otherwise, and positively affect the roll out, then I'm all for letting him and others get vaccinated ASAP. Did not see @GAsabrefan post

I would never wish anyone gets it, just if they did.... apologies for random thought.

Is it wrong for me to hope that if any Sabre does test positive, it's Hutton, Irwin, Okposo, Montour, Mitts and Eakin in some particular order? If the head coach will not willingly replace these players in the lineup maybe we need divine intervention. This is so true. Same for KO. I thought player tracking was something Krueger was looking into this season. -
You’re not giving on Kylington. I appreciate your principles. Hutts stock is low, especially after his most recent showing this morning. Like GameStop low, circa 2019. I would do that trade in a New York minute. Problem is all three of those assets for the Sabres are cap dumps. No value in any of them. I honestly don’t think any team in their right mind takes Montour, even with the retention. He’s really bad.
