Could you foresee a scenario that would yield Risto & Victor alone for Kaliyev? I can’t. So you are getting two top 8 picks/players and a mid round first prospect/player for a high risk (yes high reward). In the lead up to protect Three D, what is the expected return for Risto before the Seattle draft? Maybe a mid/late second? And Victor is just another 5/5 player with great PP skill. Allows you to protect, all three of Tage/Asplund/Bjork.

LA does not want to lose QB in this trade. Agree with others you need two other prospects to equal QB. I like the structure of @thewookie1 trade. I would tweak it as I think there is sweetener required based on the uncertainty of the injury. Sabres trade: Jack Risto Olofsson Kings trade Turcotte Vilardi Kaliyev #8 overall Quick

I respectfully disagree with this sentiment. Given the option of an exposed Risto there is no chance Seattle wouldn’t take him over say Bjork. Risto would slot in to a top line D position and assuming not a fit, would yield a nice return at the deadline (or before) for them. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still on project “tabla rasa” so I prefer a plan to move Risto before a choice has to be made.

Maestros Ocean Club in Newport Beach. Live music. Usually a piano and female lounge singer. Steaks are top notch. Service always impeccable. And as Vince Vaughn would say, lots of beautiful babies.

I hope your game goes to OT Punch!

We trade him to the Rangers for Strome, Miller and a first. Not sure if you heard, but we are collecting Left hand D-men.

Sabres win lottery: Wednesday June 2nd, 7pm EDT

Is there not hope that the addition of Karmanos will add value in the draft room? I must assume that all Pittsburg's scouts had been submitting updates throughout 2020/2021, and he brings a cadre of differing views. Maybe even some that don't meet the narrative of however remaining scouts the Sabres do have on the books (is it really 5?). In addition to the reports he had access to, is it not plausible they hire other scouts/exec staff post July 1st? The entry draft on July 23rd, and most of these contracts expire in late June/early July. Might be interesting to have different voices in the room. #stayingpositiveaboutthefirstoverall -
Weak slashing call. Need more for playoff OT. Hockey God say no soup for you

Must be the series or the league is a joke.

All good points. The adversity Jack has faced definitely affects the comparison of the two. The stability of the Bills organization could be the primary reason for success or it’s quite possible that it’s the leadership of Josh and his superior skill. Probably somewhere between. And while the Sabres have had no success, is it not plausible that Jack has contributed to the problems of the organization? We know ownership and FO are definitely a factor. It’s also not fair to paint a picture that Jack has not had complimentary pieces to help while Josh has. Kane, Skinner and Hall to name a few. As my comments were directed to what each player represents to their team at this very point in time, the addition of Diggs helped Josh achieve a third place finish in the MVP voting. What did Hall do for Jack prior to the injury this year? I know, it’s RFK and Hall’s fault. Or Adam’s or Terry. But definitely not Kim’s fault as we’ve established in this same thread. Jack’s top finish in Hart voting was 8th in 2019, and this year was lackluster. I know, injury suffered before camp. I’m curious as a medical doctor how you can be so defensive of Jack considering his recent wedge issue over surgery. To me it’s abundantly clear he is obfuscating this issue and it’s all about him getting traded. What is your professional opinion about the request for surgery? Do you not except the Sabres Medical opinions based on fruit from a poisonous tree logic? We probably will not come to agreement on Jack. A Captain, a leader should have integrity, perseverance and emotional intelligence to drive an organizations future success. A player not in possession of these qualities when challenge would want to be traded.

Did the phrase “grasping trophy wife” trigger the algorithm for PA’s auto-like?

The legend of JB’s trade incompetence grows with the ascension of Marcus Foligno. He paced for a 52 point season this year and the line with Greenway and Ericsson Ek was as advertised. What a mistake trading him.

You could say that but you’d be wrong, dead wrong. Josh Allen is making his future in Buffalo. Jack Eichel is making problems for Sabres management because of his reticence of a future in Buffalo. One is dedicated to improving each day and striving for excellence. Including off-season team building. The other is convinced his greatness couldn’t be the reason for teams lack of success and is using a controversial surgery to buttress a trade.

The next series should be fantastic. And out west so I can watch live. I love the construct of Vegas' Defense but the horses in COL might be too much.

This is the problem. Having one guy like VO is not an issue. Having 8 or 9 is exactly why the Sabres would get rolled in a Playoff series. Mitts, Asplund, Tage, VO, Skinner, Reinhart, Bjork, Eakin, Caggiula and Cozens (until he matures and grows into his body) all have the same problem. Point is if you are going to keep a Skinner or a Tage, then you need to change the the makeup of at least 3-4 other Forwards, and VO can bring back value that some team with maybe more grit and less skill should be willing to give up something.

I looked at that too. The age between Gretz (when traded) and McD (today) is three years difference and Wayne had won 4 cups by that point. So while unlikely in the short term, it could happen and the return would be huge but not unreasonable.

Neither is Jack Eichel.

So Cal resident visiting this summer. I will have one of each in July: Bocce club LaNova Bob and John’s Just Pizza (steak & popeye with sesame seeds) Tops breakfast All previously mentioned, so I feel pretty good about these selections.

Better than expected. Nice synthesizers and keyboards. Of course this comes at the cost of having the refrain “the chances of anything coming from Mars, are a million to one” stuck in my head. Thanks.

OT: Favorite Theatre Candy - Pick up to 3 (thx SDS)

I would go at least 10 other options before snow caps outside the theatre, but at movies, it’s a top three. Can’t explain.
