As in $10m total for both, or $10m each. A $40m commitment to two aging players not worth their contracts today? But more, 100% guaranteed, for two more years, each.

This is concerning. Two breaks the other day, one wide open chance in front earlier, multiple shots and many are wide or right on. The line he is on has good metrics but his inability to cash in is troublesome. -

What is the Press Box Alex? I kid. Nice assist but still not a top 12 forward. -
I took my father to the 2013 PGA Championship at Oak Hill on Saturday & Sunday. It was a blast. Beautiful course to walk and a few nice holes that you can sit in the shade and watch all the players come through. Highly recommended. @PromoTheRobot appreciate the heads up on the advanced ticket info.

You could interpret that comment that Toronto is “playoff ready” with such a crushing defeat. While I have thoroughly enjoyed the Sabres March and April, and cheering for a Vegas slide my hockey season would not be complete without seeing another meltdown by the Leafs. The earlier the better. Mix in a Boston sweep by Florida and my spring is complete.

Lehner pulled after the first period. His replacement Logan Thompson let in one in the second, on 8 shots against. Vegas down 2-1 to start the third. Seems desperate in Sin City.

To the bold - why would Dumba ask or rather any team give Dumba that kind of deal? He isn’t that good. Better than what we have at RD but every time you read “cap dump” in Minnesota this guys name is attached to the conversation. If he wants term, it would be in the same range/ AAV he is at today. Like Risto. To the italics - if the trajectory continues, and the cap grows in 2024 will this not be $13M?

Andrew Hammond with 42 saves - second most of his career. Devils win 3-2. This was a must have for the GK. Vegas needs to win out, and I can’t see that happening. Lehner was a key factor in the loss.

Ken Burns documentary on Ben Franklin is outstanding. It’s on PBS this month. Sorry to derail the hockey and humor of the thread, but had to share. -

Many times. Kjell and Jonesy are tight. They referred to Muel as “the best player on the ice”. -

Offseason Gameplan 2022 - Solving the goaltending system wide.

But they are not. The Sabres are looking at the prospect of losing two significant draft selections (Johnson and Portillo) for nothing. Conjecture about a late 2nd round pick next year if we lose a first round prospect) next year. Clearly not enough return on losing a #30 OA who has been properly developed for the last three years. Once they commit to play in the fall the likelihood either of these two sign are low. It’s not sky is falling like Arizona, but it’s not nothing either. -

This is the entire point. No one cares if he plays for UM after next year. If he completes the season, and he looks bonafide, then he simply waits a few months and hand selects his team. -

This article as well as what has been widely reported by Wgr55 suggests that Portillo can become a UFA in August 2023 after 4 years total. Even though only a Junior. https://www.buckys5thquarter.com/wisconsin-badgers-mens-hockey/2014/3/19/5527430/nhl-cba-collective-bargaining-agreement-ncaa-hockey-players -
But he was prevented from getting back into the play directly because of a cross-check. Using your stick to gain leverage has always been a penalty. A small player like Hughes could never move a frame like that without the illegal play. The problem is we still allow this occur within the game and rely on refs to determine the severity to make it a penalty vs a no call. Just not a fan of the league stating they were going to pursue something than walk it back.

Happier than heck myself it wasn’t called, not that John deserves to get the calls like the elite players get, but he was cross-checked in front of the net. That rule was supposed to be enforced this season and with few exceptions, has not.
