Last year, obviously Muel had the most TOI on the PK, but followed by Lybuskin, Joki, Gus, Cozens, Dahlin and Tuch. The new look has EJ, Greenway, Muel, Tage, Power, Clifton and Kyle. These are wholesale personnel changes, and it’s showing early returns. The fact Ras doesn’t have to play the PK is going to help spreading those minutes 5v5 without exhausting him.

The results of this game, and the emotional swings, took away all the positive vibes built up this weekend with the Sabres victory last night. This team had a chance to sound a death knell to Bill’s coaching career. I could accept a Bills loss, where the comeback to take a lead had never occurred, but to allow an inept QB to lead this team to a game winning TD drive only confirms my feeling that without the dawgs like Milano, White, D. Jones and Oliver this team cannot compete for a Championship. The inability to hold this team to at most a field goal is nothing less than unacceptable.

Tuch didn’t score but he deserves to be acknowledged for the momentum swing. JJP got an additional shift or two and 7th in TOI for forwards. He needs more minutes tonight.

Any line with VO will play protected minutes, and rightfully so. You can’t expect this newly constructed “third line” to see many 5 v 5 minutes. I wouldn’t be surprised if the “fourth line” sees more minutes than the third. Unless he sees shifts with the top two lines, then JJP has been defacto demoted. He’s averaged almost 14 minutes per game TOI. Let’s see how many gets tonight.

Never could understand how Soap lasted only 4 seasons and Benson got 7. I mean Gene Gattling, Mrs Crowse and Clayton Enditcott were nice ensemble pieces but nothing like Soap. Robbie Benson weighed in….”Sir, about that Butler idea, all the way up with a red hot poker”.
