  1. Also I stumbled on this recently: https://buffalonews.com/news/john-young-stakes-his-claim-to-the-chicken-wing/article_9176e467-670b-5043-ac70-494ee56915af.html Anyone try this legendary Mambo Sauce?
  2. I think the whole "Buffalo wing" concept has been beaten to death. You could probably find "Buffalo wings" in Burkina Faso. The wings in a batter are actually pretty good. The sports bar Vinny's on the Cheektowaga/W Seneca border used to do that. Also Hooter's does it as well. You can purchase the flour mix they use. Whenever I prepare wings that way I go with a very thin coating. Going too heavy on the batter runs the risk of having those hair-like filaments left after cooking. I lose my appetite when I see those goddam things right before taking a bite.
  3. I have a decent fryer at home. I go with 375°F and use peanut oil. For me the higher temp helps with getting a crispy exterior and moist interior. I only buy fresh wings (available at nearly any grocery store) that I split myself. I have an entire fridge door shelf devoted to hot sauces (and then some scattered around). One of my go to favorites is using Frank's as a base (as Inkman wisely stated Franks's as a base is a good start) along with honey and celery seed. Kind of a unique taste that's mild enough for the fam and easy to throw together. I'll sometimes swap out the celery seed with Grill Mates Montreal Chicken seasoning.
  4. Care to elaborate?
  5. 1) Nine-Eleven 2) Bar Bill 3) Mammoser's
  6. Public fishing rights.
  7. Lots of nice streams down there with PFR. Hardly any fishing pressure either. When I need to recharge the soul batteries it's an ideal way to do it.
  8. ^what he said. My go to fishing is steelhead. It's nearly always catch and release unless I get a gravid brown trout hen. I'll normally take the fish since I use the eggs for that type of fishing. I'll smoke the fish. I also do inland trout fishing. That's all catch and release for me.
  9. Not sure if enough available data has been collected to definitively say one over the other but if I had to guess I'd speculate SLR muskies may run larger. Both rivers are top notch and the fact that those lunkers exist is in part attributed to the conservation minded anglers who fish for them and practice catch and release. Even more interesting would be a comparison of upper Niagara vs. lower Niagara populations.
  10. Monster muskellunge
  11. Watched Clemency, very good movie. Interesting perspective on capital punishment.
  12. If reincarnation exists I hope my next stop is as Xenos vesparum. It'll likely be a short stay but I can check "***** up generations of wasps" off my bucket list. The fact that there are parasitic wasps sweetens the pot. Who's the baddest parasitoid now... this fly.
  13. I knew those ***** 5G towers were a sign that the apocalypse was right around the corner. Who's laughing at the colander on my head now mofos.
  14. Not sure but if they do it's nothing compared to the popsicle sticks my kids leave on the garage floor. I guess it's technically a "spa" since it's connected to the pool. I'd gladly trade my suburbia property for yours in a heartbeat. I'd kill for some space and quiet.
  15. I miss Billy. I remember that time on the bus in 7th grade when he mooned Patrick's mom. He was grounded for like a month.
  16. Got my Plumeria cutting in the mail. Leaves fell off as anticipated but new foliage growth within a few days after repotting. Unlikely to bloom this year but should get some nice flowering next season.
  17. Embrace the stench. It'll send a message to any other rat bastards not to ***** with you.
  18. Ah. I know they're in some of the deeper holes in the Allegheny River and people fish for them from the banks. Enjoy those fillets and don't forget about the cheeks!
  19. Awesome. Fishing from shore/ bank?
  20. Get the money dollar dollar bill y'all
  21. WIVB reporting they now are?
  22. Has anyone said the obligatory "RELEASE THE KRAKEN" here yet? If not, just took care of it.
  23. My wife is an evil genius when it comes to these situations. She'd go there, ask them to honor the sale and if the sales rep isn't budging she'd ask to speak to a manager. Not my shtick but it might be yours. I think she's had a two year old expired coupon honored at an oil change joint recently.
