How do NHL player numbers work? Can a team assign a number? Say maybe like...oh I don't know...0?

The fact that the team has nothing to show for (imo) from the seasons they lost on purpose is the bigger kick in the d**k to me.

I think it's pretty cool to have a MLB team playing here. Haven't stayed up to date on this thread but I hope the Buffalo area attendees become typical ravenous fans and that the players embrace it.
