One thing I haven't seen talked about yet as far as using the #8 pick... What are our options in getting a roster player that's been discussed (e.g. EHLERS, Copp, Staal, Galchenyuk, etc) in a deal that "swaps" picks? Minny, Winny, Nash, and Fla are very slight moves on the draft. You could use it to get a good winger and try to sign Granlund as a UFA.

This would eliminate Calgary from what I can see. It opens up some other options that either were/ weren't mentioned. Just to list a few centers that would have 2yrs on contract.... Stastny, Couturier, Giroux, Kadri, Bozak, Hertl, Barkov, Pavelski, Point, Malkin, Trocheck Zibanejad, and Jenner.

I've been questioning if they might pass on Lafreniere and take a center. Everyone seems to be set on them taking him but could they throw a wrench into it? Not likely, but not impossible.

Which, if any, mocks do you prefer for credibility? I've seen 2 saying Perfetti, 1-Rossi, 1- Holtz.

I saw a mock draft of Craig Button on YouTube saying he thinks we'll get Perfetti. Says that Ottawa will take Stutzle and Rossi. What's your take on Perfetti being ready to play? ( I know...it's Button, but).

That what bothers me...."going on to the first round". That and the stats being counted as playoffs. If the next round is called "the first round" shouldn't the round they just played be called "round zero"? The word "qualifying" is the evil here.
