3 of our wins have come against the top of the chart also. Vegas,Habs, and 'Yotes Edit: Sorry, I was talking about the other chart
-
Also, over the past few years, haven't the Ducks been the team that everyone was trying to get their Dmen?
-
I don't think this should be the only concern(and Sobotka/Berglund each have 1g) because other than PP pts our bottom nine wings don't have many either. Sheary and KO have all their goals on PP. There should be concern about goal scoring from everyone not on the Eichel line and ES scoring in particular. With that said, I will be more concerned if we are losing on a regular basis. For now I'm just enjoying what we have.

I thought the same about Shane Gostisbehere when I 1st saw him play....now? You really can't ignore the talent of either one.

It's probably because none of them want to be in position of having to pick an American player 1st in the draft. LOL -
GDT: Sabres at LA Kings 10/20/18 3:30PM MSG, WGR

I would imagine he'll get extra time being on the top PP unit. -
That we're CUP contenders with awesome depth? LOL
-
According to Amerks site Pilut and Redmond are tied @ 7pts each. The big difference between the two is that while Pilut is a +5 ...Redmond is a -3.

Olofsson AHL player of the Week and now Month

His size at the time of the draft may have had a bit to do with where he went in the draft....and still might in the NHL, but think he'll be OK. Top 6 and maybe Top 3. Sorry, don,t know where he "hangs out". -
Interesting that you say this and I agree but..... you would think that his shot would come more into play on the PP but he has 3 goals and they are ALL at even strength. He has 5 assists on the PP which shows he can be a play-maker too (or used as a decoy). Timely goals, as 2 of his 3g are GW. Yes, he should be fine.

GDT Colorado Avs vs Buffalo Sabres 10-11-2018 at 7pm

2nd was entertaining enough to want to see the 3rd.....probably would have shut it off last year -
I like this better but I would add in Borgen somewhere in the list.
-
Girgensons had 7g/15pts/-12 last year which is not much better. He seems to be playing better though. The problem is that you never really know what you're going to get from one year to the next. We can only speculate and hope we make the right decisions roster wise. This applies to all players and not just Z and Larry. Some are more consistent than others but still you never know. I agree that line should not be dismantled at this time.
-
I can't seem to find it but I remember someone commenting that people on the Stars boards were pretty upset at losing Elie to waivers. The difference between him and Larsson is that no one will miss Larry.
-
Is it though if there is an injury? Replacing one of the crappy D wouldn't hurt as much as an injury to even one of the "decent" forwards.
-
I don't argue that but the almost identical is more the argument. I think they had enough change (and that was just the offense) that i argue that point.
-
They lost JVR and Bozak along with Nylander holding out. Komarov and Martin gone. Not sure who else. JVR, Bozak, and Nylander accounted for 67 goals/ 158pts last year will Tavares reach that level...lol, he might but I doubt it.
-
That's not a day off if they play that night. But I think you're saying is that they have scheduled days off and you just don't want them to cancel any "scheduled" practices. It took me awhile but I think I got it, sorry if that's the case.
-
I guess the issue with this conversation as a whole is what each of us considers "far ahead" or "not so far ahead". To some , 1-2yrs is not "far ahead" but 3-5yrs might be. Others might think "WOW, they're a whole year ahead of us in their build". But as of today, right now, this season we can't verify which is significantly ahead in all aspects just by looking at their 3-4 games, nor using what happened last year. It's a whole new season in which anything can happen.
-
Or sent down or traded. Don't really want to see anyone sent down even if it might be needed for development reasons. Would rather see a trade. Larry for 20oz beer cups?
-
Not at the moment!!! If we somehow make the playoffs and the Leafs just miss what then? Or we both make the playoffs? Anything can happen seeing how things are at this very moment rather than "last year" yada yada yada.
-
But if you never gave them a day off once in awhile, how would you expect them to compete ALL the time without tiring out or just keeping up the morale? If you were to say...."show me some good hard practices and I'll give you a day off", kinda of an earn it type thing, I could go along with that.
