I always looked at Skinner as being Kane's replacement and ROR's replacements are by committee. The fact that Berglund, Sobotka, and TT aren't quite living up to expectations are the reason why the trade is being shot down so much. Obviously, if they were playing better everyone would be praising JBot. TT not playing just makes things worse for the "eye test". Casey looks better each game so that's a plus.

I know it's early and we might revisit this later but, we seem to be doing better without ROR and STL doesn't seem to be better with him (even after we took their scraps off their hands). Is this just proof that it's a TEAM sport and not based on individual performance? Some players more suited to play as a team than others?

I often wonder when people make comparisons....how would Eichel be playing on a line with McDavid/ Crosby/ Tavares/ etc?

I really can't seem to put my finger on the issue with ROR. There just seems to be something that doesn't jive about him. If I remember correctly (i could be wrong) there were "grumblings" about him not being happy in Colorado and then his closing statements here. Now he's on a good team (St. Louis has been a contender in recent years, but just missed playoffs last year). He's having a great start but yet the team doesn't seem to be better with him (or the other players they signed). I just get the sense that there really is something about him that's not good and follows him wherever he goes.Could be just one of those people who never wins at bingo or on a scratch off ticket or a basket raffle. A dark cloud over his head.

....is that this is a GDT and Jack had 2pts in THIS game and we still lost. Seems to me that he's doesn't have the talent beneath him for support and this is a TEAM sport is it not? On the positive side ....Jack being over a point a game is improvement even though again he's had um-teen wingers already 13 games into the season. We are listed as 18th in overall league standings....but only 3pts out of 2nd place. Teams with more than 1 elite player are within grasp... Chicago, Pitt, Sharks, Lightning, Laffs (Caps are behind us). Also there are many players on this team whom aren't performing up to snuff. when they either wake up or get moved there will be improvement (hopefully). We are already off to a better start than recent years. They played two not so great games and were still in them to the end (again, improvement) We're still hanging on to a wild card spot...something that many didn't think they would see this year. If Jbot can get Jack some secondary help he could be even more of a threat. Edit: now that I know one of your secrets...GO JACK!!!

I agree with you on almost everything..... Skinner, I think you are a little on the high side percentage wise....like it but, more hopeful that he WANTS to stay and at what price? I would realistically say about 75-80%. To make room for Pilut and/ or Guhle....I would also consider Borgen. solid defensively, physical, and right-shot D-man....attributes we could certainly use up here.

???...how many players are the Amerks allowed to have and would that make them have to move someone down?? They have 26 players listed. Just curious
