You will never be able to PROVE this, sorry it's a team game and this team is totally different than last years team and St. Louis. All the stats in the world couldn't prove any such thing. How do you know what Lehner would be doing in a Sabres uni right now? Could he have changed just like some others on this team did. Who knows and you can't prove anything with his stats this year 'cause he's not on the Sabres this year. Then there is Jake Allen...likely the reason for Hutton being available to us. Can't honestly say Hutton is reason the Blues fell so far. Stats are stats and I get that and they can sometimes give you a barometer to measure with but PROVE anything (if they did Las Vegas would be bankrupt). You wouldn't have to watch a game to know what the outcome will be. Players stats change from game-game, week-week, year-year and so do teams. You can suggest that Hutton by himself is responsible for ....against last years goaltending, but by all means it is absolutely nothin'. Last years tending could have improved along with the rest of the team and you will never be able to PROVE differently without them actually being here and playing under the exact same conditions.

I'm pretty sure you know what I meant (dropping the gloves) and wouldn't want any of the first 3 you mentioned taking that chance. The reasons being both getting hurt and being in the box instead of on the ice. Hunwick I don't know alot about him but do recall some physicality over the years.

I'm not a big fan of Nate's but he does bring a comfort factor the other two wouldn't. When the playoffs come around and players like a McCleod or Martin start taking "liberties" with your star players, who's gonna step up? Bogo? I think I'd rather keep Nate as a 7th/8th D and hope Pilut/ Guhle can push their way into a higher slot. Not a huge deal breaker though and agree with you, I just like that comfort factor. Paying Nate more just because he "might" have to step up and that maybe adding a player like Pilut/ Guhle could benefit us more, will be deciding factors.

We didn't make those picks so we don't know what could have become of them. Saying Stoner was the only one who became anything means nothing. Between Darcy and TM they ruined our pipeline and "not doing enough" can only mean giving away higher picks and/ or players which some don't believe we should do right now. If your opinion differs then so be it and we'll agree to disagree. But like i said in another post, there are just to many variables to decide the deadline moves and just have to trust everyone will make the proper decisions. Sure we can all have our incoherent babbles as to what we would like to see happen. I like to think about more than one side of an action and hope you do too. We all have our moments both genius and flying off at a moments notice. Once we all settle in we usually are pretty good at knowing what's best. Gotta get ready to go , so have a good night all.
