It still looked like positioning was off a bit when the shot was taken....could be just the camera angle though.

From looking at these shots it looks more like Howard was not positioned properly (a little to far to his left?) like he might have been concentrating on the players coming from that side(Mitts?) A split second look to that side could've been the difference.

If you watch the replay in slo-mo 1 frame at a time, you'll see at the 18:42 mark of the 2nd period where Sheary is being dogged by the Dman(I forget who it was), he then takes an ever-so slight look upward. vvvv vvvv vvvv vvvv He then closes his eyes and crosses his fingers while shooting the puck and praying that it goes in. Divine intervention from the Hockey Gods and their CF%100.

Interesting that the 8th pick seems to be one of the worst of the higher slots......and we have 3 of them in our organization (Risto, Mitts, and Nylander). Also, the 14th seems like a good slot (Zemgus). There are some slots in the 20's that are much better than others (stay away from 25 and 29?)

Any thoughts on Brett Pesce? I've been on some other boards (mainly 'Canes) and talk is he "could" be available. Did a little research on him and seems pretty solid. Signed for about 3-4yrs at around $4M.
