  1. If they are truly rolling over in their graves, it's due to being ashamed that they were not endowed with your greatness. ?
  2. FIFY....even if it was a 1-0 game.
  3. No, good news would be that we don't need them.
  4. I absolutely love reading most, if not all, of your posts. They seemingly have a Socrates/ Plato philosophy to them but delivered in a Shakespeare kind of way. You certainly get my mind engaged with thought while being quite entertaining at the same time. If you are mentoring our youth.....i feel more comfortable than I did yesterday. Thank you and continue please.
  5. And all this is considered a "mild" case?.....If you don't mind me asking, did you have any underlying respiratory conditions prior to having it?
  6. If it was in the mirror I would be seeing my trombone.
  7. I saw a g-string yesterday...oh wait, that wasn't on a guitar.
  8. I think he was stringing you along.
  9. L......can't imagine anyone better than Leino. Bwahahahahahah.
  10. Thanks for the info.....can't wait to re-live some of these moments.
  11. Only other thought is that working at a hospital is where you're needed the most (by your own admission?).
  12. I hear you and am in quite a funk too. I work in a hospital and I am over 62yrs of age, have COPD, diabetes, and high blood pressure. The question enters my head nearly hourly.....should I self quarantine? Can't afford to, yet can't afford not to. Then on top of all that, will I be doing any good because my wife also works at the hospital. Almost feel like a sacrificial lamb.
  13. Just Jbot finally getting around to replacing Ennis? It will be awhile until he replaces our 2C.
  14. Wouldn't these people maybe qualify for unemployment at least? A guy in my apartment building said he is laid off indefinitely and was told to go to unemployment.
  15. Bolded.....not true. I reality a company would never pay a doctor his rate to clean a room and in reality I wouldn't think a doctor would agree to clean a room for janitors rate.
  16. This is likely to change very soon. Most of our prospects under JBot's regime are just starting to reach AHL age.
  17. He probably should have had it extended two yards....you know, with the 6ft social distancing and all.
  18. I thought if it lasted more than 4hrs you should seek medical attention?
  19. Problem is we are not good at Russian up the ice as a unit.
  20. Very little above minimum wage (or at least what it supposed to go up to...around $15/hr.). So, go from janitor to Uber driver. Does anyone know what the expenses are for an Uber driver? Just asking. As in most jobs, you hear good and bad.
  21. But what about the janitor at the hospital? The hospital will obviously stay open and rooms need to be disinfected.
  22. The bolded is what I've been trying to get across in my posts. Those people shouldn't be dumped on just because of their job status and/or position in life especially without knowing their situation at all. It may just be a temporary job to hold them over for better times and are at least making an attempt to support themselves. I also agree that some life choices along the way possibly could have been better but that could also be considered hindsight. Myself, sure I regret some of the choices I've made over the years but even some of the bad choices I don't regret because they've let to some fond memories, happiness within myself and others, and looking back some choices weren't nearly as bad as once was thought. Some menial jobs and moreso the people whom perform them are looked down upon as if they are low-life losers who don't want to better themselves when that may be the farthest from the truth. Those jobs are sometimes more important than much higher paying jobs. Just think....in a crisis like this virus, who would you consider more important, a sales manager with a six figure income or the janitor who takes pride in his work cleaning a hospital room making near minimum wage, or a bricklayer with a good income? I hope you don't choose the bricklayers sales manager just because he could build you a wall.
  23. Not to mention that "someone" has to clean the toilet seat when some Noble a**hole sh1ts all over it. If someone has to do it....wouldn't you rather have someone do it who might take a little pride in their work? Or would they rather someone who just doesn't care or not trained properly? Who's gonna clean those covid rooms?
  24. Again this is assuming health issue aren't a consideration and some are on meds that wouldn't allow you to drive a truck.
  25. Again you are assuming something that's not true. Social security is peanuts and then pay for medical out of that.
