Eichel and the Sabres at this point is like a bad marriage. Maybe even an abusive one. You can keep hoping he will change (or she if you prefer) but it won't happen. Won't help to stay together for the sake of the kids either. They will pick up on the hostility and the depression. You can choose which (Sabres or Eichel) is the he or she. You trade ALL the UFAs from this s@#tshow. You can tell him you'd be interested in signing him next year and you can (if he's interested) and if he's not interested he would have left anyway. Better to get something and give him some playoff experience. Trade all the UFAs and the core stars. ALL of them.

Hall's always been looked at as a only plays when he wants to guy and it's clear he's floated this entire season. 10-1 he plays his ass off for whoever we trade him to so that he can get a big contract but pity whoever signs him as he could quit on them at any moment. If we sign him I'm out.

If I'm not mistaken ticket sales for the opened up games were/are incredibly slow and I'm not sure they even sold them all. This reality may have finally woken Terry up from his deluded dream and he sees no option but to market a new climate of hope or else ticket sales for next year will be non existent. The only way to create that feeling of hope and renewal is to bring in a name hockey person like Rutherford (or Dudley, still my preferred choice). So in a way, I think Terry faced the choice. Either sell the team or step back and let it be reborn . At least I hope that's it.

I cracked a rib playing hockey in my youth. I was on the ice after 2 weeks but breathing was painful. I was good in about 2 months. Obviously they vary, but I was never in as good shape as these pros are so idk. Again, the secrecy leads to rumour and then conspiracy. The organization don't care what we think.

You're only going to get a good coach in here if the organization commits to him and his ideas, gives him some control over who is on the roster and offers him a decent long term contract. So you do that and he comes to the GM and says (hypothetically) I don't like Eichel's attitude, then Eichel has to go. If Eichel comes in and says I don't like this coach he has to go, then Eichel has to go (same for any player). That's the only way it potentially works. You can't have it both ways, and based on their attitude to hockey people the Pegulas will not go for that. I would love Torts here but I am not optimistic.

Yes they do. My point was that wasn't Kreuger's job. These guys are professionals and are supposed to be in shape. Supposed to work hard. But we have coasters who don't even know how to lift weights properly.
