Back in february there was a thread of who would win the cup. I figured it would really be a tossup between nashville and the caps. i picked the caps to win it back based off of how badly they beat the sabres and the wild. (i follow the wild too).I felt this way because the wild was a good team, and they could go head to head with nashville and it was honestly pretty evenly matched, but they were beaten easily by washington on the multiple times they played each other. Washington looked head and shoulders better. With that being said, between washington and vegas, i wanted vegas to win just for the sake of an expansion team winning in their first season. I just wish i put money on the caps in february when i picked them. i would be a happy fellow today

i was doing pretty well on my picks for the playoffs until last night. i expected it to nashville and washing with washington winning it all. nashville let me down.

my guess #1 will be montreal and the sabres will be #3 deep down i really think the league is punishing the sabres secretly for the year they purposely tanked

there are 7 or so games left in the season, i realistically expect 46 goals and 1 assist in the 7 games. next season, i fully expect 289 goals with 8 assists. everyone knows nobody on the sabres will be able to score except lord mittelstadt

i think EVENTUALLY the sabres will be able to fit together a good team around eichel. i think it is 4 or 5 year out, which is halfway through his contract. short of the sabres getting at least 2 all stars early in an affordable contract, there is way to trade him. it doesnt make sense. i dont see any team dumb enough to trade at least 2 established very good players for 1 great one eichel is the face of this team, whether you like it or not

i think it is going to be the washington/vancouver capitals vs nashville predators in the finals. i honestly think the washington/vancouver capitals will win from what i have seen from them, they are it.

im going to be honest. i cant believe that nobody else was traded. when they said at the start of the season everyone not named jack was on the block. was jbott asking too much or is the roster that horrible that no other team wanted anyone from the team. i know 95% of my posts here are jokes about lehner, but this is an honest question.

calgary picked up stewart from waivers. i really wish the sabres took him. he would have been a great addition to the team. he works really hard.

i dont think this is a bad trade for a rental, honestly. i figured a first rounder only, they got more than that. even if the prospect doesnt work out, kane was not coming back here, so we got what 3 players for not having kane on this team for 3 months....a team that wont make it to the playoff in the next 3 years at least? this is a good deal.

i wonder if lehner is sitting around his house thinking to himself. why are people are so down on me. when i was younger, i got so many of those shiny participant awards. in fact i got one every year. now, i read the AUD club and there are only 2 people on the whole message board that think i am terrific. Tell me AUD members, if i am so bad, how come i have 15 participation awards. Answer me that! @*&$$!

i completely agree. johnson has been so bad, it is hard to imagine worse. however, it is for backup position. it is unlikely a team as bad as the sabres will get a top notch goalie to play backup
