GDT - Sabres @ Panthers - November 30, 2018 - 7:00 PM (EST)
miles replied to Sabres Fan in NS's topic in The Aud Club
oh no, we suck again -
i will throw in my 2 cents as i was very negative on the team last year. i felt the gave up too often. I think the initial cause was poor goaltending. they knew that any mistake by them would result in a goal because it did. i havent ever seen a goalie as bad as "you know who". I feel like they felt no lead was safe. I believe that 100%. there was a game last year, the team was playing really well. Someone made a turnover, which lead to a goal. It seemed like they were just deflated and they gave up. I also believe there was a "talk" with jack. he seemed to kick it up after that.

What are your Sabres Powerball/Megamillions numbers?
miles replied to Stoner's topic in The Aud Club
i bought 3 tickets, all with the numbers 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 i wanted to triple my odds of winning by getting 3. Not only that, the 800 million dollars time winning 3 times, that has to be worth like 3.5 billion, right? -
i was surprised to hear they signed hutton this year and next year. i honestly assumed ullmark would be the starter this year or next. however, i suspect it will be after hutton contract ends before ullmark starts unless hutton gets hurt bad or gets to be lehner bad

i know this is old now, but here is the gist of it. crab is my very favorite food. the allergy is minor, so i can eat it without any problems, as long as i dont have too much. the other night i had 1 snow crab (or 2 halves of a snow crab) and it was too much. normally 1 crab is fine for me. Last night i ate 1/2 crab and had no issues. shrimp on the other hand i am very allergic to it. i tried to see how allergic i was and after just 5 or 6 shrimp my throat was very closed where it was hard to breath. that doesnt happen with crabs. well, maybe if i ate a ton of it. i only eat it a couple of times per year, but try never to eat too much. shrimp, i havent eaten it since that one test about 15 years ago.

i ended up missing the end of the game because i was stupid. i have a minor crab allergy, but i love crabs, and I can eat them without a bad reaction if i dont eat too much. well, last night i at 1 snow crab and i guess it was too much. my throat started to close a little bit so i had to take some benadryl to clear it up. i was sound asleep by 8:30 or 9pm. i woke feeling good though. unfortunately i still have 1 more full crab, so i will only eat half at a time. darn those delicious crabs. on the plus side, it looks like i didnt miss a good game

Off topic. my wife complained about feeling nauseated all night. i walk into the kitchen and she is eating an ice cream cone. then comes back into the other room and complains again. my life

i think the sabres look much, much better than last year. they are still a ways off of being great thought

i have the NHL tv package online it works well. however, if you are in the blackout restrictions area, it will be blacked out. i live in central NJ, so the sabres vs the devils, rangers, flyers get blacked out for me. we dont have regular cable since we use the playstation vue for tv, so i just miss those games essentially. you can watch them 48 hours after blackout period, but i never went back. i cant watch a game when i know the outcome.

Robin Lehner Opens Up About His Bipolar Disorder and Alcoholism
miles replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
now i feel like a complete tool for all of the bad stuff i said about him here. -
read on sabres site they will credit 49 dollars if you have a 15 jersey. i have a 15, and i will just keep it.honestly i really dont care. wish i had a 39 jersey instead. i always wanted one of them

I think this is a trade to get rid of ROR and nothing more. It was clear he and jack didnt get along. This is jacks team and i think this proves it. They got 2 picks and and some decent nhl talent for someone who quit on the team and couldn't have looked less interested. I wish we could go back to the game day threads and find how many times we complained about ROR not looking like he gave a hoot

i hope this guy is great and helps ullmark get ready for the NHL. i honestly thought ullmark was expected to start this season. -
Poor Jack & Congratulate Thorny on his Marriage Thread
miles replied to Doohickie's topic in The Aud Club
i dont think jack will get the C this year. I don't think he is mature enough yet to be the captain. i suspect it will be just A's like last season. -
Pick John Tavares' Next Team -- Update -- JT to Leafs
miles replied to WildCard's topic in The Aud Club
i am going to be honest. if the sabres got JT, they could trade ROR for a solid Defenseman, and they would be a serious contender for the playoffs. I think the sabres are really only 1 or 2 good scorers and 1 defenseman away from being good and 2 years away from being really good (giving eich, mittlestadt, and dahlin some time to develop further). i think ROR is probably a problem in the clubhouse or at least there is some contention between him and eichel. i truly believe that ullmark is the goalie the future in buffalo. that being said, i think he will be in an islanders jersey next year -
this is by far the best picture i have seen in a long time. as far as tanking, i will full on give up on the sabres if they ever have a tank season again.
-
honest question about dahlin. Is he projected to be as good or better than Eichel? i know they dont play the same positions, but as far as quality in their respective position, who do you think is the better talent? When Eichel was drafted he was compared to McDavid, who was compared to Gretzky. Which defenseman would Dahlin be compared to as far as potential...maybe Brian Leech of NY, someone else?

i liked how the sabres handled eichel with the living situation, he lived with moulson so he had a family around him. its good that his mother is moving to buffalo to be with him. i hope she stays with him for a while. i know i wasnt ready to live by myself and hold down a real career at 18.

I have been following the wild quite a bit, and i posted this once before, but Alex Stalock is the wild backup. he got some consistent playing time when Dubnyk was hurt, and there was some real questions by the fans on if Stalock should be the starter and they should trade Dubnyk. With that said, the wild obviously kept Dubnyk as the starter, but i personally feel Stalock is too good to stay as a backup, and should be a starter. I would really like to see him in buffalo.

between dahlin and mittlestadt, those 2 will have 634 points next season. i suspect mittlestadt will have 215 goals and 112 assists and dahlin will have 212 goals and 114 assists (math dont fail me now) ullmark will have a gaa of 1.21 with a 98% save percentage (which has not been seen since the beloved hasek) i am going to call it now, the sabres will have over 80 wins next season. not having lehner counts for at least 30 wins (that is my last lehner joke ever)
