My priority list: 1) 4D that has enough experience and is defensively minded thereby providing the optimal environment for the development of Owen Power 2) Solid and reliable 1A or 1B goalie to provide the optimal environment for the development of Devon Levi 3) Experienced, but still lots of tread on the tires, face-off savant and penalty killing center to fix both of those problems for the next 3 years or more

Sounds like you have found the spot you need to be in. That is 90% of the effort in healthcare these days... finding the right people to help and advocating for yourself, or family, or friends until that happens. After 30+ years working in medicine I've learned that a persons mortality and morbidities rests almost entirely on who they are put into a room with. That doctor/nurse/technician/therapist can in a few minutes change the pathway your life is on for the better or the worse.

Parayko would have been a great fit 3-4 years ago. Not ideal now but has some value for sure. Has the experience and his name on Lord Stanley's Cup. A RHD that would be a nice fit to mentor and team with Owen for a year or two, or more. Parayko also offers the ability to play up on first pairing should Rasmas or Muel be injured. Provides some seasoned leadership from outside that can show the whole team what is needed to make playoff runs year in and year out.

I'm of the opposite opinion. TBL have been sandbagging for the past month and resting up for TO. TBL in 4, maybe 5 at the most. Ontario implodes and it gets really ugly as the wholesale changes rain down on management, coaching, players, staff, you name it. Just IMHO of course.

It's not on Granato, yet. A year from now maybe, and that's if KA gets him a full toolbox to work with. Tools being 2 solid (top 4) D men and a bridge goalie (real goalie, not a hoping for something better goalie) that can backstop the team until UPL and/or Levi are ready to take the reins. Icing on the cake is a experienced 4C to take important draws and drive the PK unit. Add those things to another year of experience for the youth movement and Granato is in trouble if they piss their pants over the last 25 games of the season. Short answer is nope, not even a consideration at this point.

Do I recall correctly that Levi felt that his game was similar to what Saros does in Nashville? And KA has already made a down payment with the Preds in the form of Asplund for a 7th. I'm trying not to overthink this.

KA says he is not standing in the way of the kids and allowing them to earn their spot on the Sabres when they are ready. If Levi is more ready than UPL and Comrie then so be it. Anderson certainly isn't any part of the future unless it involves coaching. I'm trying to temper my enthusiasm, but this young man seems to have something special about him.

Who is the goalie coach for the peewee team in that town? That's who needs to be brought into the organization.

It's really makes me kind of excited and a bit nervous to think about how much talent might not have a spot on the 2023-24 roster. There are going to be some very good hockey players not seeing NHL ice time with the Sabres next year. At the same time there are some holes that make you wonder how they are going to be filled. There will be some talent leaving in order to properly fill those holes. KA is going to have to give up something to get something and surprises might occur. Things like giving away Asplund at the deadline will hopefully provide good karma for future deals. I see only about 7-8 current Sabres who are untouchable at the moment and several talented guys looking to push the others down the roster or out the door.

DG knows that VO does one thing, and only one thing, well when he's got it going. That was a good opportunity for VO to get it going again and imho nothing more should be read into it than that. Not about love as much as it was about taking advantage of the opportunity. I will not be surprised to see VO sent packing in the off season.
