  1. Wrong about Power. Watch the reply. He actually overcommitted towards Strome right before he was about to shoot, leaving Milano open, and Levi was correctly taking him into account.
  2. It looked like frustration out of the Leafs hooking, holding, interfering, etc., immediately beforehand, and the refs refusing to call any of it.
  3. I'm more optimistic in some regards, but... We need to move on from UPL. Do we have any other G prospects in our system? Give someone else a chance; UPL is fundamentally flawed
  4. I rewatched highlights from the game. The alarming elements of UPL's game that I've mentioned noticing before (reflexes, balance, body control, recovery) all seemed to be vastly improved. He is still young enough that he could figure these things out. I'm sure working next to Levi in camp lit a fire under him, and showed him first-hand what a freakishly naturally talented goaltender looks like, up close. Another test will be how he can handles breakaways/shootouts. As I said before, I'd be thrilled if he completely overcomes my expectations of him.
  5. It's almost as if you can't know the trajectory of an entire season (or a particular player) based off of a handful of games. Call me crazy...
  6. I don't think UPL has NHL-level reflexes or body control/balance. I will happily be proved wrong.
  7. If he could look like that more regularly, I'd be shocked, but I would welcome that development
  8. He's having a good game. I haven't changed my mind on him, though. I tore my ACL a month ago (on the ice), so I really flinched at that replay
  9. He's big, and his positioning has been good. If we play fantastic defense, we'll be OK. If he's one-on-one with their shooters, he'll get lit up, though.
  10. I'm just curious: are you mainly referring to their stats? When watching Levi's movement, recovery, reflexes, awareness, puck-tracking, etc., Levi is way beyond UPL & Comrie
  11. Comrie will shine without having the pressure of trying to earn the #1 spot. I think he will settle in as an above-average backup, and Levi will be a stud. They will be our tandem, going forward.
  12. I'm pretty convinced 20yr Levi is an above-average NHL goaltender. Can't wait to see what he becomes
  13. If you want a repeat of last season's result, sure!
  14. He has glaring fundamental problems. He's not going to be in the NHL much longer
  15. Not that I have anything to add, other than that it is amazing to see such a young kid with these killer instincts, and the skill to execute it in the NHL.
  16. But Brooklyn is geographically on Long Island... 🤔 But 👍 in general to your post
  17. I brought this up last season. We have some big, skilled players.
  18. You must be fun at parties
  19. I'm looking forward to the 2023 post-season 😛
  20. I think Levi shows an incredible ability to track the puck and stay with it during scrambles. I honestly haven't see that amount of focus and control in a Sabres goalie since a famous goalie that played in this city in the late 90's. I'm not saying he'll pan out that way, but wow... the building blocks are there.
