  1. more comments on Buffalo's possession, or lack thereof, after the penalty call. I wanna hit this guy "maybe they had possession for 3 hundredths of a second" go yourself
  2. I have the Boston feed. Their play-by-play guy gets really, really, really upset when a delayed penalty is whistled and he deems the opposing team didn't really have possession. Like, it's his cause or something.
  3. Kane has to be feeling this is his night to break the slump
  4. How about that. Go BU
  5. Beaulieu did save a goal when Lehner was down and out (what a surprise to see Lehner in that state!)
  6. Did not realize Nash's current stats. This looks pretty good for us. We will get a good deal for Kane. I'd bet people on the forum getting really impatient are not very good negotiators IRL
  7. I was reading ppl mentioning Nylander in another thread, but thought I should post this here: I think Nylander on Jack or Casey's wing could be a stud. I only saw one goal of his in the WJC's, but this kid has some shot. That cannot be said for many players on our team. If it's just Jack or Casey feeding him, I could see him finding the back of the net a lot.
  8. This could be, but in theory, Kane's value is not a static figure. It also has to account for what possible interested teams can afford. If a "win now" team feels confident with their prospect pipeline, and feels the gamble is worth it (if it poises them to contend for a cup), they may feel they can part with what GMBot is asking. Some teams may overpay if they feel it'll bring them closer to a cup. That's what we have to hope for.
  9. I had it once and thought it was just OK, but I'm admittedly not a bourbon guy (except for Pappy)
  10. plenty of time left, Rayzor assures us!
  11. nice edgework by Jordan Nolan ...said no one ever
  12. Okposo with an impressive burst of speed
  13. My only problem is that if he makes the wrong read or over-commits, he is helplessly out of the play. I'd like a goalie who can recover
  14. Lehner looks like he's been working on things, and shows signs of improvement. Sprawling on loose pucks quickly, locating rebounds...
  15. Nice, Dan- first time I ever heard an announcer say "OH WHAT A SHOT!" on a pretty average wrist shot that doesn't score. hmm
  16. So how does it work? The first person to flinch (or "panic," as stated in the above post) will end up setting the market? So what do we think- who flinches first, a buyer or a seller?
  17. I worry this is the case. He does come across as being a bit to emotionally sensitive. Really reminds me of a guy I used to work with (right down to vegan-beard). Look and mannerisms similar, and very sensitive/passive-aggressive
  18. 2:10 possession time in o-zone
  19. A guy I used to work with drove up from the city to see the Stones at Rich Stadium way back when- he told me he told his mom he was just going to Albany. He was shocked when he realized how much further he had to go ;)
  20. It's not dumb. It's just perception/nomenclature. Where I live, "upstate NY" is the most succinct way to describe my origins. If it doesn't bother me, don't let it bother you ;)
  21. My conversations usually go like this: "I grew up upstate" "where exactly upstate?" "Buffalo" "oh... that's WAY upstate!"
  22. I hear "upstate" regularly referring to everything in NYS that not NYC, LI, Westchester or Rockland counties. I've actually even hear Nyack referred to as upstate. I routinely refer to myself as from "upstate" without batting an eye. If I were to tell most people in NYC that I'm from "western NY," they say "you mean Jersey?"
  23. I heard about that, as well, through the grapevine. Also lifestyle incongruities between ownership and XGMTM
  24. geographically, I suppose it can be argued either way, but I feel the culture/vibe of the two are the most similar of any other NYS cities
