I know someone who has a senior position in an NHL FO (none of the teams involved in Jack), and told me that Mr. Bettman and his cronies will definitely be involved in a case of someone of Jack's stature, especially if there is a question of how soon he returns to the ice. Bettman & Co. have a vested interested in Jack being happy and on the ice ASAP

does anyone think this will move the needle as far as the trade/potential return goes? Call me cynical, but I think this is purely 1. a PR campaign, and 2. a contract negotiating tactic/way to cover themselves I believe it has zero implications, as far as the Eichel situation is concerned. If they can't get people like Reinhart/Ullmark signed for the amount/term the team wants, and they end up trading them, it's because "they didn't want to be here"

Karmanos's and Ventura's FO resumes speak for themselves. My point was that Adams's experience as a player in the locker room may give him a unique perspective on intangibles as a GM, which can be supplemented by what Kamanos and Ventura bring to the table.
