There is a truth to the saying that "When you hit Rock Bottom it offers a solid foundation to rebuild your life". Sabres should of done what they are doing years ago. I HATE that they waited this long. The only question for me is do I purchase Center Ice to watch the kids of take the year off. I probably will purchase it. I tend to agree with your logic. Linus has the upper hand but a 3x6M / 4x5M max seems a great deal for him and where the Sabres are at. I'm still hoping he signs for less than that! Sabres (unless something big in the works for a G) pretty much have to have him on the team.

I guess in a perfect world Linus signs and competes for 1A and gets beat out and becomes 2A. IMO.
