Right now, I view Kahun as a good 3rd liner that's likely gonna get stuck playing 2RW, where he likely won't quite be up to snuff. I have a feeling we won't view him quite so positively next season, but that's more due to not having 2 good top 6 Rw than him being bad.

Honestly, I don't see this lineup as much better than last year's. Our defense got much worse so that we could upgrade 1 spot.

I don't really have anything to back it up, but I think that the top tier UFAs are still going to make top dollar, and not significantly less than they would have without the corona. I think teams will be bidding on difference makers, and that the role players (the 2-3 million players) are the ones that will feel it the most.

That's why I said usually a 2nd liner. If he is your 4th best forward there's a reasonable chance you have a Rw that may be better.

I would agree with that statement, but I think Sam is a top 6 player. IMO, he is a first liner on a bad team, and usually a 2nd liner on a good team. For a good team, he should be around the 4th best forward.

I know it would never happen (nor would I probably want it to), but a lightning trade for Eichel would be interesting. Something like Point+Cirelli for Eichel+Cozens, picks/cap from either side to make it work?

If Reinhart isn't on Eichels line, without adding to the roster, it is likely one of Kahun/Thompson. Ideally Thompson shows he can hang there, and that leaves Kahun as a 3rd line Rw, which is a good sign for the team. I have a feeling that this season is going to depend a lot on the youngsters. Even if we pick up a 2C like Granlund, we still will be in need of 2? Of the kids stepping up. Here's what the lines might look like with Reinhart on line 2. Ideally: Olofsson-Eichel-Thompson Skinner-Granlund/trade 2c?-Reinhart Johansson-Cozens-Kahun Lazar/asplund/girgs?/Larsson?-Okposo. This lineup (provided Thompson/Cozens can play) actually looks solid. Best middle six we have had in years. That top line might get a little bullied, but I'm hoping Eichels will sort of cancel that out. If Cozens/Thompson disappoint: Oloffson-Eichel-Kahun Skinner-Granlund/trade 2c?-Reinhart Asplund-Johansson-Lazar Girgs?-Larsson?-Okposo The 2nd line is still good, but that 3rd line looks like it's going to be slaughtered just about every game.

Interesting. I've been hearing that it's really deep in the top 10ish then falls pretty quickly.

That's not how it's working. If a 8-15 team gets the pick, there will be a second lottery after the playoffs for who gets the pick out of that group.

Yes, there isn't a whole lot that points to Adams being a successful GM. I don't think that means that we should start estimating his demise on his first day on the job.

This thread should not exist. Regardless of your expectations for him, as a fan, we should still hope for the best.

If Skinner plays like he did last year, that would be a good trade for us, when considering his contract.
