Yeah, pretty much. The deal was before the bubble, so I don’t know how the performance affected the FO outlook on the team. It was going to be Gadreau+Monahan for Reinhart and one of Risto/Montour, as well as picks/prospects. I think this would really accelerate our timeline into highly competitive, now. Fix the goaltending, and you may have a contender.

Definitely not a ton of Dzone strength/PK strength, but you may still be able to make it work. I think lines would be something like: Skinner-Eichel-Thompson Gadreau-Monahan-Cozens? Ruotsalainen? - Staal - Olofsson? defensive UFA/lazar - lazar/defensive UFA- Okposo Could even be 2 defensive UFA there, and Lazar as 13th forward.

With how the last couple days went, I’m really hoping there’s a greater plan behind this. I’m really hoping not qualifying Kahun was for saving money for the deal I was told about. I’m really doubting it at this point but it would be amazing if it were to happen. Maybe, just maybe they picked Quinn because they expected a crowded center room in the near future, one where Rossi wouldn’t fit well, and an empty RW room, where maybe Thompson, Quinn, and JJP can compete in the future. This is all a bizarre hope at this point, but I desperately want it to come true.

Connor Sheary had 2 goals in the first game of the year, so ya he was a legit 1W. Basically, that's not a good enough sample size to say if he would be a good 2C or not. Larsson had a couple similar stretches, but I wouldn't want him as my 2C.

Definitely a grittier team than last year’s, I don’t really think it will be good though, that second line likely gets crushed, and the rest of the lineup won’t add enough scoring to make up for it.

Would not fit under the cap, but I would make that trade. I think that trade would be a wash as far as how good we are now, adding lafreniere’s growth.... we win that trade.

If Rossi is there, I believe Kevyn Adams will take him. A bit back my source told me he didn’t like who will be available at 8 and would entertain trading it because of that. The player where that wouldn’t be the case was Rossi, who Adams likes.

My bad. My source basically said that the deal at this point is pretty unlikely, that team is unlikely to sell both those assets at this point in time, and now that we have staal, there is no need to sell the farm for them. My source did say to keep an eye on Vegas and Calgary as possible trade teams- mentioned Marchessault as an under the radar player that could be dealt this offseason.

I haven’t asked yet, but I think it would be reasonable for it to be. The trade would push Staal down to 3c, so...🤷‍♂️. The lineup post “super-trade” if it did happen would be something like: skinner-Eichel-Cozens? acquisition-acquisition-Olofsson kahun-Staal-Thompson? 4th line

Thinking about it, I think Skinner-Eichel-Kahun would be a decent line. Kahun is good at primary assists, and would likely thrive on a line with 2 good scorers. That would free up a second line of Olofsson-Staal-Reinhart, which should be really solid. The third line though...

My lineup from what we have now: Skinner-Eichel-Kahun? oloffson-Stall-Reinhart Ruostallainen?-Cozens-Thompson xxx?-Lazar-Okposo this team still has a lot left to do, adding a top 6 Rw would make a rather large difference though. Pushing Kahun down to line 3 would help significantly. I would like another solid 3rd liner and another solid 4th liner after that, but there’s only so much you can do in one offseason.
