  1. I think that would be my favorite base of a package.
  2. I wouldn’t say that’s true re: Josh and the Bills. Nearly their entire offense needed to be replaced after Josh came in, and a good chunk of their defense. Josh’s supporting cast on offense his first year was horrendous.
  3. Well, isn’t that kinda obvious? One of those contracts is reasonable, and the other is among the worst in the league. Of course you could do better with 9Mil than Skinner, but you’re not going to do significantly more with 6M than get Sam (outside of ELCs and players that blow up on a new contract)
  4. Vilardi I think projects out to a 2C. He’s 21 and produced a little under .5 PPG, and that’s with a large dry spell in the middle. If he can produce like he did sans the dry spell, and improve a little, him, Turcotte, and 8 OA (Guenther? Wallestedt?) would add to our prospect pool quite nicely.
  5. This isn’t anything from a source, just curious what y’all would think about a base for a package.
  6. I realize practically everybody wants Byfield if we’re trading with the Kings, but what about a package like Turcotte, Vilardi and 8OA?
  7. So where did he get ranked for the unsubscribers?
  8. I think that’s about right, maybe even a bit higher since we’re talking ceiling, I think he has the potential to be an above average 1C, but is more likely to be a really good 2C ~20G 40A
  9. Well, it also depends on the term. If it was 6M x 7 years, it would be 2 1sts a 2nd and a 3rd. It’s the total salary/(years on contract or 5, whichever is lower). Which would make this 42M/5 years which is 8.4M, falling between the 2 1sts, 1 2nd, and a 3rd.
  10. I think the only reasoning that would Make sense for why the league delaying the trade (other than it being a finals team) is if they wanted to wait for when there is less news, to make the season being over more exciting.
  11. Yeah, but would it really distract people from the Finals much? Oh no, there’s a big trade, guess I’m not gonna watch the biggest part of the hockey season now.
  12. Yeah, it wasn’t my ACGM, I just thought it was an interesting idea for how to trade Eichel/Reinhart. If KA wanted, he could also unload Fiala for more futures.
  13. https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/2505978 sorry, it didn’t paste for some reason
  14. Curious what people would think of something like this for the Eichel/Reinhart trades.
  15. That’s only revenue though. The cost for schools is well over a billion for their athletic teams.
  16. Yeah, but a lot of NCAA players have scholarships/room and board covered. Additionally, athletes have a higher chance of getting into good colleges when compared to peers with similar academic standing. I’m not saying college players shouldn’t be paid, btw, just playing the devil’s advocate. Also, the majority of college sports are losing money for their colleges, if the NFL was losing money, they wouldn’t be paying players for long
  17. So what are unpaid internships then?
  18. He did say PART of the problem. I believe by this he means that Risto is definitely one of the many things wrong with the Sabres.
  19. 6x6 deal for binnington
  20. Shutter Island and Fight club would be on my list.
  21. Yeah, I really don’t think that we could put together a package that would make sense for both sides.
  22. I also heard their was mutual interest for a PLD trade.
  23. Did the CBA change how contracts work? I though you couldn’t have a salary for one year be less than half of the highest year. I could be just misremembering though.
  24. Can’t put picks that are conditional on resigning anymore, that was covered in the new CBA.
