Updated Sabres Prospect Pool 2021 and beyond
sabresparaavida replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
How recent are the rankings? It seems that a lot of Sabres prospects (bloom, Quinn, Rosen, Novikov, Levi) have improved their stock dramatically so far this season, in addition to adding Krebs. It also seems that there aren’t many underperforming expectations, and others are meeting or slightly surpassing theirs. I don’t know about other teams pools to know enough, but I think that would give us a rise in the rankings from ones made at the beginning of the season. -
Sabres getting offensive (and not in the way we’re used to)
sabresparaavida replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
If this team was fully healthy, I don’t think R2, Caggiula or Hayden would even be playing right now. I feel like Oloffson-mitts-tuch would move them out of the top 12 -
This team needs RHd almost as much as it needs centers. Our pipeline/young players are better at C than Our RHd.

Similar production to power on a lesser talented team.

Predict the Sabres lineup for April 29 2022
sabresparaavida replied to Crusader1969's topic in The Aud Club
I feel like those are definitely good lines and quite balanced. We’d probably see a fairly even split of usage, maybe mitts line getting the most. -
That’s honestly a pretty good question, I wonder how often it happens in analytically developed teams. I would think that’s something that would be considered by teams and maybe over time with more analytics it will balance out some.

^The Florida pick is also top 10 protected

I kinda like the idea of Cozens and Tuch on the same line in a year or 2, a physical line with skill sounds attractive.
-
Yeah, I realized as I was finishing up those lines I forgot Skinner, but didn’t have a place I necessarily wanted him. 13th forward maybe? Perhaps Oloffson-mitts-asplund skinner-Cozens-Tuch with Thompson centering Girgs and Okposo.
-
I’d want Krebs to go to the AHl for a year, be on a line with JJP-krebs-Quinn, and dominate for the year. Next year, bring all 3 up for a scoring 3rd line, the new rotten core if you will. next year we could be running: Oloffson-Mitts-Tuch Asplund-Cozens-Thompson JJP-Krebs-Quinn Girgs-x-okposo Dahlin-Joki power-x samuelson-x Bryson

His qualifying offer is 9 million next season. Add much on top of that and that’d be a 4 first offer sheet, which honestly, when put with the rest of the package would be quite the return for Eichel. That would be setting ourselves up quite nicely for our future.

GDT - Sabres @ Ducks - 10/28/2021 - 10:00 PM EDT

Why did that feel like a penalty kill? -
Why should we consider this different than "the streak" in 2019?
sabresparaavida replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
The part that worries me is that our goalies are 5th and 7th in the league for save percentage, and I find it highly doubtful that either of them will be that high later in the season. Our goalies have been playing all out to start this season, and if they regress to their mean, this team wins less games. -
Weissbach looked extremely fast yesterday when I went to the game, he was flying past defenders.
-
I’m at the game right now, this Amerks team plays with a lot of physicality, but are often out of position in their own zone, and their neutral ice play leaves a lot to be desired
-
It musta gotten taken down, beforehand, it was like did the Habs lose? Then ads for Kotkaniemi and Aho shirts
-
I could see it happening if they put Mitts on IR, but doubt they would send anyone down for him.

Go Sabres! -
That’s downright savage.

I view Bjork as someone who has the speed that this organization wants, but the rest of his game is somewhat lacking for above the 4th line on an elite team. I think he’s likely a player that sticks around till we start having a lot of the wing prospects playing in the NHL. 3? Yearsish
