Getting someone’s LTIR contract would help get to the floor, but it wouldn’t help get under the cap. Adding a contract on LTIR would not change them from being over the cap to under. It would basically give them a new cap that is that contract higher, except that contract would still count against it.

Canucks are also now tied in points, even in games played as well.

I would think there might be issues with the NFL, I doubt they’d like the employees having other financial investment with the owners, but I don’t know.

Samuellson is one of the best 3 defensemen on the team, it would be silly to send him down. I believe the only other defender that could be sent down (was sent down earlier to be eligible) is Fitzgerald, which would make sense to send down, but I guess they want to see a bit more of him for next year.

I think that’s 50 for Dahlin on the season.

My plan: overpay MAF or Kruemper as much as it takes to get them here on a 1-2 year deal. Sign an Anderson/Tokarski level guy to battle with UPL for the backup spot/who starts in Rochester. Sign Drayden McKay for Rochester, and add a decent goalie with potential to the system.

We’ll Power was taken 1OA and angers was taken 12OA, which shows at least some difference. I wasn’t a big enough fan at the time Myers was a prospect to tell you much more than that. He projects to be much better in his own zone than myers is, and once is up to speed will probably have point totals similar to Myers rookie year (48 points).

I do not want to go anywhere near John Gibson. His save percentages the last 3 years have been .904, .903, and .904, only slightly better than what we’ve got from Anderson and Tokarski this season. After this year he will have 5 years at 6.4 million in his age 29-34 seasons. He likely won’t be worth that contract, let alone giving up those assets for him.

While they do have the option of waiting and signing with any team, they don’t have the option to sign with a team and go back to college, unlike the CHL players.

I’d like to see that top 4 for the rest of the season and see how it works. If Samuelson-Dahlin is a good first pairing that reduces our RD need significantly and we would only need to add one good vet on the right side. If it doesnt work out, but Power-Joki looks good, we can focus on getting a good partner for Dahlin and then we can have Samuelson and a UFA make up a “3rd” pair that probably gets a lot of defensive zone starts and PK time.

Their last 6 games have been against teams out of the playoffs, including Arizona and the Kraken twice (32nd and 30th in the league respectively). Before that streak they were 0-5, so 8-8 in their last 16. Their remaining schedule is harder than the kings who I believe they have the best chance of catching. There is still a lot of question for me whether they will make the playoffs.

Through 24 games, Eichel is pacing for a 34 goal 27 assist season (if he played all 82 games) meanwhile, his replacement Tage is pacing for 38-39 goals and 30 assists per 82 games.
