  1. If this is actually true, why are you watching it and in this thread?
  2. No, but we have about as many SoG in half a game as we did that whole one.
  3. Conveniently forgetting that the game before he potted the goals to bring us back from 3-1, and then had an assist on the overtime winner.
  4. Through 9 games, Sabres now have a 4 way tie with 4 players having 6 goals: Thompson, Tuch, Dahlin, and Oloffson.
  5. Odd they didn’t also put Oloffson on the list with 6 goals
  6. Dahlin made a nasty move there
  7. That goal was pretty much Oloffson’s specialty to a T.
  8. Tage Thompson had 25 goals, 41 points at home last year, versus 13 goals and 27 points on the road. Last year he was better at home than away, let’s see a home stand before we judge too harshly.
  9. I know the goal is to win a Stanley cup, but last year’s presidents trophy winner, the ‘top dog of the regular season’ lost 10-2 to the canadiens 8-2 to the Senators 7-3 to the Devils 4-1 to the Kraken I will wait to criticize until we get ~20 games in. Still not enough games played to evaluate what this team is. Hopefully Samuellson and Jokiharju recover soon.
  10. Dahlin ups his point streak to 6 games, hope he gets a goal later.
  11. What was that to start the pp?
  12. Borgen Is a healthy Samuelson?😜
  13. In 2016, Drew Doughty won the Norris, despite having 31 less points than Erik Karlsson
  14. I wasn’t saying he was. I was reacting your point that implied Franchise wingers = Franchise centers, and I was disagreeing. I did not declare that Fantilli was going to be a franchise center. If you don’t think he will be, why not just refute that, instead of making a completely separate point.
  15. Tell that to McDavid, Crosby, Matthews
  16. If that was the case, why didn’t Roman Jodi win last year when he had 10 more points than Makar? or in 2021 with Tyson Barrie leading defenseman in points? Or in 2019 with Brent Burns leading defenseman by 9 points and still losing or in 2018 when Hedman was 5th in scoring but won. Leading defenseman in points is special anyways, even though it doesn’t gurantee the Norris. Something interesting to note: what was a better predictor of Norris winning was points+ +\-, which I tested for the past 5 years and each year was correct except 2020, in which Fox was 2nd.
  17. Great play my Mitts to make that pass.
  18. Something not being mentioned in the above discussions: say we signed Dahlin for 8 years after his ELC. He ends up 29 when his contract ends. It would have been cheaper contract, but when it’s up we either re-sign with term or likely lose him. Now if we sign him for 8 after his contract ends, he will be 32 and a good age to move on from, or signed to a more reasonable deal.
  19. Lybushkin is one tough SOB
