Probably not, but he’s not terribly far off. Bedrard this year has had an NHLe of 57 points in the WHL, McDavid had an NHLe of 68 points in his draft year. I believe Bedrard is having a better WJCs than McDavid, so a lot remains to be seen.

Couple things: Comrie said that he came here for the opportunity, if we brought in another goalie he probably wouldn’t have come here, as there would have been better options for him as a backup. Hindsight is 20/20, VERY FEW people on here wanted anything to do with Georgiev who last year posted a .898 while Shesterkin put up a .935.

I think it depends a lot still. If Comrie is back today, you send UPL down. If UPL has 2 more good games or so before Comrie is back, send Comrie on a conditioning stint, and see if UPL can keep it up. If UPL keeps up the play then we could try to slip Comrie through waivers or roster 3 goalies (only if we’re healthy on defense).

Based solely on that article, Dimitri Simashev looks like a good fit on the backend. Another LD though.

To be fair there was a solid amount of breaks in play for that final 3 minutes, and we are missing our 2nd pairing.

I’m guessing we get UPL tonight?

Not sure what the injury situation is like for the Devils. The first two games could perhaps be blamed on goaltending (goalie pulled in the first game, second had a sub-par save percentage). The more recent 3 looked like they haven’t been able to finish, scoring 1, 1, and 2 goals.

Are we starting to see things unravel a bit for the Devils? They’ve lost 5 straight (0-4-1) and have a brutal 6 game stretch upcoming, facing the canes and bruins twice each, along with the Panthers and Penguins.

Florida is not currently in a playoff spot. Lot of teams competing for those wild card spots.

*2 games in hand. But the Isles are up 3-1 in the third, and should they win it would put them 5 points ahead of us and only 1 game ahead.

Up to 25 points and 49 points in 31 games after tonight.
