  1. KC stashing him for next year. Beane selling assets at lowest possible value.
  2. Sean McDermott's football philosophy reminds me of Dick Jauron. Bend then break D paired with a group of offensive coaches who don't belong in the NFL.
  3. In 2009 under coach Dick Jauron Turk Schonert was the offensive coordinator. And his pre-season offense was so bad he got fired before the year started. Through first 3 games, Schonert's Bills averaged 22 points a game. Through the first 3 games, Dennison's Bills have averaged 11.66 points a game. :w00t:
  4. There are different types of penalties. New England and Seattle are masters at being aggressive and only getting a call against them now and then but otherwise changing the complexion of the game. Now not lining up correctly or jumping offsides are absolutely a sign of a bad team. Bad teams beat themselves.
  5. Brandon had a hand in the last two coaches hired before McDermott. I don't have any information on the McD situation but it is evident that the Pegulas were listening to someone for advice because McD's name "jumped out at them" before they ever met him! Brandon was also involved in the GM "search" this year.
  6. No one is arguing that point. No one cares about records or wins or losses. What one should care about is how undisciplined and situationally unaware this team still is under McDermott.
  7. This team looks soft and has no idea what is going on. Players jump offsides, not getting lined up correctly, receivers dropping passes, receivers running 5-yard routes on 3rd and 9, QB's looking spooked and getting butterfingers. I expect more of the same when the real bullets start flying. This Bills 2017 is brought to you by Russ Brandon and Sean McDermott. It starts with One.
  8. Marrone, Ryan, McDermott. All conservative head coaches who want to run the ball on 1st and 2nd down, throw a screen pass on 3rd. Punt. Coach up the defense to keep games close. Pegullibles got snookered again.
  9. Well, if you like misery you will love the Bills.
  10. No way Kansas City finishes bottom ten. Sean the Wrestler got taken to the cleaners on his trade down to select a cornerback.
  11. The thought is that is he one of Castillo's boys because he coached him in Baltimore. But yeah, anyone who has ever watched him play on the Jets knows he is flat out terrible. Looks like the plan is to get Tyrod's face caved in tomorrow night.
  12. Thanks! :P
  13. Bills bought high, sold low on Watkins. This is why they are just spinning their wheels.
  14. Vlad Ducasse to start next to Jordan Mills for the Bills this week. ????
  15. No, the opposite. I am saying is people use advanced stats to come up with the conclusion that they want. The best defenses in NFL history all excel in yards and points allowed. No need to overcomplicate it. If you present an advanced stat is incumbent on you to present why it is superior.
  16. Use whatever you want. The problem with advanced stats is you can use them to come up with whatever conclusion you want. That's why I personally like to keep it simple.
  17. Antipin is probably better now.
  18. The best defensive teams in NFL history allowed few points and yards. By the basic measure, Oakland was worse. I am not going to argue about what advanced metric is best. Just saying there is no need to overcomplicate things to make Tyrod look better.
  19. He also pulled his team to 12 wins with a worse defense than Buffalo last year. QB's Lives Matter.
  20. You are reading that passage the way you want to. Sorry, Beane is just a admin.
  21. "Whaley's virtual disappearance from public view after McDermott's arrival wasn't a coincidence. It was a fulfillment of a condition of McDermott's employment. In what could only be perceived as an effort to preserve Whaley's dignity and help his chances of getting another job, Pegula tried shooting down any notion that McDermott was in charge of the draft( ), noting it was Whaley who "put the whole thing together." Technically, yes, the assembling of names and grades was done by Whaley and his staff, because that happened through the NFL season while McDermott was serving as defensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers. Once McDermott arrived in Buffalo, however, he combed through the data while doing his own intensive study of video and additional research. He shaped the Bills' draft plan, with a need-based approach and the pursuit of additional picks for this year and in 2018 and starkly different than the way Whaley had done things in previous drafts. That was why there was zero point in having Whaley offer any public thoughts about a draft that ultimately belonged to the coach." http://buffalonews.com/2017/05/01/vic-caruccis-bills-wake-call-new-gm-wont-change-structure/ When the Bills were looking to hire a GM they were not going to hire anyone that took the power McDermott had already exercised away. Beane was brought in to be the Whaley for the next draft. Preparing the board for the Wrestler.
  22. You really are making this Beane guy bigger than he is. Regardless of what you think, the article you posted stated that McD and Beane had been in long discussions on Watkins. The trading of Watkins began when his 5th year option was not picked up. Beane wasn't even here yet.
