  1. Given the circumstances of this off season, KA should tell Sam we are going to give you one year at $5.5 AAV. See where he fits in when the team has other talented players. Either trade him next off season or sign him to a longer contract.
  2. What would we have to give up to get Dunn from St Louis? Mitts, Pilut, and 2nd rd pick If I were Terry I would tell KA to offer sheet Dunn at 4 years at $4.25 million. Dunn probably wouldn't care if he moved since they just signed Krug. It would be kinda pay back for the crap we got in the ROR trade!!!
  3. I can see a shortened 48 game schedule. Games will be mini series of divisional back to back games. Only fans in attendance will be season ticket holders from 19-20 season with seats adjusted to practice social distancing in stands. Mask would have to be worn at all times when in the arena. A one year realignment of divisions to make an all canadian division. Atlantic- Carolina, Tampa, Florida, Boston, Buffalo, Detroit, Columbus Metro- NYR, NYI, NJ, Pitt, Phi, Washington Central- Dallas, Chicago, Nashville, Colorado, Minnesota, St Louis Pacific- Anaheim, San Jose, LA, Arizona, Vegas, Colorado Canadian- Montreal, Ottowa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton Playoffs would consist of a 16 team tournament similar to NCAA basketball tournament, based on points during regular season. All teams ranked 1-16 and placed in bracket. First round is best of five series and then best of seven.

  5. Has anyone brought up that this is a win...win situation for the Sabres and Hall. The Sabres get an elite winger to play with Jack. If he helps them get to the playoffs, great. It ends the drought and would be worth every penny. If for some reason the Sabres still struggle they have a pending UFA they can trade to a contender and get multiple prospects and or draft picks back in return. Hall gets to play with an elite center in a contract year in hopes of regaining MVP type play and sign a big multi year contract. If he is moved at the deadline it would be to a contender and he would still have a chance to win the cup.
  6. My new lines Hall, Eichel, Cozens Skinner, Hall, Reinhart Olofsson, Eakins, Thompson Girgs, Lazar, Reider/Okposo Dahlin, Miller Montour, Risto McCabe, Joker
  7. If Sabres trade for Fluery it's only because they have cap space to retain and trade him to Pittsburgh... Fluery and Martinez to Buffalo for Hutton. Sabres retain 50% on Fluery and trade him to Pittsburgh for Rust and DeSmith?
  8. If Vegas signs Petro are they looking at moving Martinez?
  9. How does Vegas afford him??
  10. I like Turris, Wennberg or Brassard on a one year deal around 1.5million for the third line c role. Look to either trade for a 2LD like Zadorov or sign a physical LD like Borowiecki. With so many goalies available I think they will stick it out with Ullmark and Hutton one more year.
  11. So is the game plan to start Cozens at 3c and surround him with vet wingers or to start Cozens at RW and go after another 3rd line center like Turris, Haula, or Brassard to fill in for a year.
  12. and I believe DuClair played with Reinhart somewhere in Jrs.
  13. I can live with the pick
  14. Shows they wanted a big winger and not a small center

    So #8

I like the pick of a RW

    So #8

    I want Perfetti or Lundell!!
  17. Back to the Domi/ Anderson trade... I believe Montreal identified a player they wanted and didn't mind over paying to get him. Montreal has been very aggressive this off season and looking to make improvements right away.
  18. Looks like they have him penciled in this year as second line RW next to Stall.
  19. I still like Mark Borowiecki,
  20. I was listing players on Tampa by points, not projecting how many points a Sabres player would get on Tampa. I was more comparing the type of players on each team. The Sabres neither have the skill or physical type of players that Tampa has.
  21. Not a dive...bogus call from ref
  22. My point in post is that Sabres are a few years away from competing for Cup so fans need to have realistic expectations. Even if they can happen to sneak into the playoffs in the next couple of years look for early round exists. They need to keep Jack happy so this means definitely getting more competitive.
  23. Because he is 6'3" 225lbs and would be a beast on Jack's RW. 24. So after watching a lot of bubble hockey I wanted to compare what the Sabres had this past season to the Eastern Conference Champion Tampa Bay Lightning. I listed players by points so far in post season. Stamkos (when healthy)- Eichel is the best comparable...can score, has speed and can dominate a game Kucherov- no one on Sabres is comparable Point- no one on Sabres is comparable Hedman- no one on Sabres is comparable Palat- maybe Skinner but I actually drop him down to next player because of how physical Palat is Gourde- Skinner fit this mold best because of his feistiness and ability to get under other teams skin. Gourde gets nod in face offs but Skinner a better scorer Coleman- Stall fills this role of veteran center man who plays a hard physical game Shattenkirk- Risto probably slightly better on offense, but Shattenkirk gets the nod in d zone Cirelli- no one currently on Sabres, hopefully Cozens fills this role in a couple of years Killorn- no one on Sabres Johnson- this is level where most Sabres forwards fall...Reinhart, Kahun, and Olofsson are all pretty much 50 point guys but don't play a hard game Sergachev- Dahlin may be slightly better on offensive side but lacks the physicality that Sergachev plays with in own end Goodrow- Girgensons and Lazar type of player, good on PK and likes physical game McDonagh- McCabe is probably best comparable Bogo- didn't we have a Bogo type player earlier in the year?? Cernack- no one on Sabres Maroon- Okposo fits build and scoring touch but can't play the physical game that Maroon plays Verhaeghe- Thompson and Mitts, good in minors but can't seem to figure it out yet in NHL Paquette- Larsson is good comparable of defensive responsible, checking line center who can score some goals for you Schenn and Rutta- Borgen is in the monirs but best fits this mold So in summary- M Johansson, Vesey, and Sheary just don't compare to Kucherov, Point, Killorn on forward lines and Montour and Joker are a long ways away from Hedman This team needs HELP!!!!
