I like Linus as a goaltender but again he has never played in more than 37 games as the "starter". KA should go to him and his agent and say you're getting Binnington type of contract after he won cup, ($4.25 for two years). I think St Louis and Vancouver will both regret the Binnington and Demko contracts in a couple of years.

I believe the Sabres will bring back Ullmark on a 2 or 3 year deal around $3.5 million cap hit. Ullmark is 27 but has never played more than 37 games in a year. The big question is who is going to be along side him. I hope the Sabres go with a 1a 1b tandem instead of signing true back up. Options for KA and contracts that should be offered. How are they different? They both see the ice well and make good passes. Both play better on PP because they have more space and are not pressured. They both lack any type of board game or physical toughness. Seems like the same type of player to me!!

He can still resign here in off season and since there won't be many options to choose from the contract should still be favorable for Buffalo. Stall should be traded by TDL for 2nd rd pick in 2022. Give him another chance to win cup by sending him to a contender. Montour should be traded by TDL for 3rd rd pick. Teams want depth on defense going into playoffs. Rieder and Sheahan could be moved if other teams willing to give up a 6th or 7th rd pick for them. If not their contracts just run out and they help fill the roster for the rest of the year. Now during the off season becomes the fun part!!! Sabres need to move one of Reinhart, Olofsson, Risto or Eichel to shake up the team and to be able to get something in return. Eichel brings the most back in return but he is also the captain. Don't think he gets moved this year. Give Cozens another year to mature. Risto still has his moments but has been steady this year. Unless the Sabres go after big RD UFA Hamilton then I think Risto stays. Olofsson and Reinhart are the same type of players. They are smart with the puck, score on PP but don't offer much else on 5 on 5 hockey and do not play a gritty game. Out of these two players whichever one gets you the best return gets moved.
