  1. Just want to point out that Skinner's hustle in o-zone led to penalty that led to Thompson PP goal yesterday. He has been snake bitten in goal but has been playing better. He needs to play with guys who can create.
  2. How is that not an interference hit on Bjork...dumps puck in zone and then gets hit trying to move around defenseman!!! I really can't stand Boston Would love to sign Gabriel this off season just to beat the crap out of Marchand!!
  3. More evidence of why Buffalo needs to get tougher and not just have skilled guys. They will never win if teams are aware that they can just push Buffalo around. Biggest miss of last season was not getting Anderson and going after Hall instead.
  4. I hope Chara and the Caps beat the crap out of Boston in the first round!!
  5. Vancouver is the perfect team that only has 2 NHL defenseman to worry about protecting in Myers and Schmidt. They would protect forwards...Boeser, Horvat, Miller, Pearson, Pettersson, and then probably Virtanen and Motte. Their biggest issue is having two goalies in Holtby and Demko leaving one of them unprotected. They will protect Demko and expose Holtby. Holtby would be a perfection year stop gap to back up Ullmark while UPL gets a full year with Amerks. I think the perfect move for both teams would be Risto for Virtanen and Holtby. you could add picks on either side to balance it out if needed.
  6. I hope to see a physical, uptempo game and for someone to be knocking Marchand down every chance they get. We may not be able to beat them on the scoreboard with the youth today, but I want to see some passion and see who can play some old-time hockey. Sabres lose 4-3.
  7. I can't stand the Bruins...they always get away with so much. Marchand clearly hits Dahlin after the horn and nothing.
  8. So Pasta toe picks and Reino gets a penalty...pretty accurate for the Sabres this year On another note...Hall still sucks. Sabres have to protect Bjork so this trade becomes so lopsided in Sabres favor.

  9. What players should the sabres be targeting in the off season via free agency or trade? Who will be coaching this team? Who can come in and change the culture of this team and organization? Who do the Sabres need to move on from? This is going to be a very interesting off season because teams may be willing to trade players for picks because they know they will not be able to protect them in Seattle expansion draft.
  10. Good defensive first period. Didn't allow Rags to skate around in circles in o zone.
  11. Sam has had offensively his best season and has shown he is a good player. in my mind his trade value has never been more. I want a more physical winger to play with Jack and I believe big move needs to be made this off season. Package deal with Columbus who is also looking to shake things up this off season and has picks and prospects. To Columbus: Reinhart, Skinner($2mil retained) and Boston 2nd rd pick To Buffalo: Laine, Jenner and Korpisalo
  12. I would like UPL Mohave success and go .500 in his starts. He still needs to spend at least next year as the #1 in Roch. This will allow the Sabres to sign 2 UFA's this summer. I think the Sabres pull out a 4-3 win tonight in SO. Cozens, Bryson, Tage with goals. Mitts scores winner in SO.
  13. I think this group as a whole has shown a lot of improvement. Asplund, Mitts, and Thompson have played well because of their different skill sets. Asplund is a mucker who can also score. Tage is developing into a Mantha type power forward. Mitts has finally understanding the defensive responsibilities of a center and has shown a little bit of nasty in his game lately. Cozens, R2, and Bjork is an interesting line. Feisty, but skilled. Skinner, Reinhart, and Olofsson is the one that is interesting. When Eichel comes back he goes to center, which shifts Reinhart to RW. So you are in the same dilemma of last year. Who plays LW, Skinner or Olofsson? Skinner is not tradable because of his contract. So that leaves Olofsson as the odd man out. Unless Reinhart wants too much in contract then you move him. Ultimately I can see the Sabres moving one of Reinhart or Olofsson to upgrade either the defense or goaltending.
  14. Jack coming back from injury

  16. Borgen also has to play 23 more games, so he will not have to be protected. After research I noticed that. Soyou can protect Risto if you have not traded him.
  17. Asplund only has to be protected if he plays 11 more games this year. Do the Sabres play him only 9-10 more games and then have him sit so they don't have to expose him?
  18. Barring any trades in off season before draft, whois on your Sabres protection list? my 7 forwards are: Eichel, Skinner(NMC), Reinhart, Mitts,Thomspon, Bjork, and Olofsson 3 defenseman are: Dahlin, Joker, Borgen goalie: Ullmark
  19. I would even drop the 2021 1st and just take the 2022 1st if Edmonton would retain $2million on Neal's contract.
  20. So if the trade is 2021 1st, 2022 1st, Neal, and D prospect is Philip Broberg for Hall I think KA would have to do it??
  21. Yes Hall should sit until traded.
