  1. so two missed calls already. The hook on Mitts and too many men.
  2. Another interesting note-Sabres only have 4 hits the night
  3. No, getting guys who are tough to play against is how you make the playoffs. The Sabres have been too soft and easy to play against hence why they have been getting steam rolled for the past 5 years and haven't even sniffed the playoffs!!
  4. Skinner, Thompson, Tuch Wood/Marchment, Mitts, Quinn Krebs, Cozens, Vinnie/Okposo
  5. I would like to see him get another big forward in the top 9. Someone like a Miles Wood from NJ or Mason Marchment from Florida.
  6. I do believe a top 9 forward will be moved for a veteran defenseman or goalie. I would go the route of defenseman and sign a couple vet goalies to short term deals again. As long as they are good and not hopefuls. TT- taken over #1 center. Will not be moved. Even though he has one more year on contract I hope KA extends him for 5 more years at $4.5- $5 million AAV. (4,4.5, 5, 5, 5.5). Tuch- future captain, signed to a team friendly contract. Skinner- having a great bounce back year. He is able to play his game, and has improved some in the defensive zone. Won't be moved because of contract. Krebs- still learning the defensive side of the game but has great vision. Still has two years left on entry level deal. Cozens- heart of the new kids. Plays with passion. Reminds me of Cirelli from Tampa. One year left on entry level deal. Quinn- after tearing it up in AHL, he will be in top 9 going forward. Has 2 years left on entry level deal. Most likely to be moved- Mitts- still not sold on his overall game. He seems to have picked up his physical game this year. He is signed for 2 more years and a relatively good cap hit of $2.5 million. Olofsson- With the additions of Tuch, and Krebs, and with Quinn pushing to get in lineup I feel he is the most expendable. Teams with cap space like Anaheim, Columbus, Seattle and Arizona may look for him to help with their top 6. Contract will be around $4million AAV. Girgs, Okposo, Asplund, or UFA fill out your 4th line. Let's discuss.
  7. I believe trades can be made, players just can't play in the post season which both Sabres and Islanders don't have to worry about. Bailey is still a good playmaker. I think he would fit better on LW with Mitts and Quinn than Olofsson does.
  8. Subtle move to bring in RD and another vet. Olofsson becomes expendable to fill a hole elsewhere. The true test for KA this off season is the goaltending. Need better goaltending fort his group to start experience winning. https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/3153044
  9. If I'm GMKA I sign Portillo and Levi to 3 year entry level contracts. Let them battle it out and one is in AHL and the other in ECHL. Resign Anderson to be third goalie/mentor in NHL. Sabres have cap space. Nothing wrong with having 3 goalies on active roster. UPL signs a 2 year deal 2 way deal. Sign UFA Husso from St. Louis to a 2 year deal for $3.5 and $4.5 million for a cap hit of $4 million. He needs to be on a short prove it wasn't a fluke contract. Sign Korpisalo to a 1 year 2 way contract, similar to what they did with Dell this year. He has really struggled the past few years ever since Elvis was named the starter in Columbus. He may sign a one year deal to try and rejuvenate his career. Let the 2 Finns fight it out behind Hussa for goaltender #2, and the 3rd goes down to AHL to split time with the college kid.
  10. I guess offers for Sabres UFA's were disappointing. Of players moved today, only player I wish Sabres could have gotten was goalie from Wild.
  11. No one really being moved that the sabres would be interested that would help them. KA standing pat for now. I could see some moves in the last hour if teams get desperate enough and overpay the Sabres. Carolina has been pretty quiet so far!
