I would 100% replace Lybushkin with Schenn, I'm not sure why people compare the 2 other than both are defensive defensemen. Hits- Luke Schenn - 258 (Leads the league) Hits- Ilya Lybushkin- 65 Blocked Shots- Luke Schenn- 81 Blocked Shots- Ilya Lybushkin- 53 Points- Luke Schenn- 3 goals, 18 assists, 21 points, +9 Points- Ilya Lybushkin- 0 goals, 8 assists, 8 points, -2 He is only signed for 750K, give him a slight bump in pay if he works out for us but teams like TB and Boston pick these types of guys up for a Stanley Cup run imo.

The Blues got a 1st in a strong draft class for a player who is obviously on the decline, that's a win for the Blues imo but the Leafs could get a boost if O'Reilly gets those legs going after being dealt.

The first goal was weak, the 2nd there was 2 Sabres and a giant Anaheim Duck player parked in front of Comrie and the 3rd there was zero defense at all, I'm not saying Comrie is good in any way but it's not like we're helping him out either, it doesn't matter if it was 3 shots 3 goals if the team isn't helping him defensively.

He isn't great but with 0 defense it's hard for any goalie.

We have a bunch of passers, Anaheim has a guy parked in front of our goalie every time they enter our zone.

Sabres are clueless defensively.

The refs were letting them play the whole entire game with barely any calls of significance and then you call that on the biggest play of the entire game that seals the game? It was a bush league call, you cannot call that and in a world where many think sports particularly the NFL is rigged why would you give them more ammunition and I'm not a fan of either team but the great game was once again trumped by the refs.

The Bruins should be going for it, they're at the tail end of their Stanley Cup run so them spending multiple 1sts and prospects make sense. I think it's dangerous for a team like Buffalo to go after Chychrun not because he's a bad player but we have a few like him already in Dahlin/Power imo (what I mean by similar is more offensive minded) and I get that some have a problem with Schenn, he has bounced around a bit and his style is outdated but he's the swiss army knife all playoff teams try to get, a guy who leads the league in hits, always up there in blocked shots, plays on the penalty kill and when he's on the ice I don't see those 4-6 breakaways were constantly giving up but I don't think Schenn alone helps that. I think we need another veteran besides him and to be honest it doesn't have to be Schenn, I'd settle for 2 defensive defensemen but again I'd like them to be able to play in multiple scenarios. The Sabres are on the cusp but imagine we picked up Chychrun, spend 2 1sts and trade away say Kulich or Rosen and still miss the playoffs, how would that help in any way?
