I'm trying so hard to envision what I've seen of Linus that makes some fans want him back.

Anyone think G Fredrik Anderson can return to form? I know he was bad last season but he might be one of those buy low guys who could pan out. he was solid the 3 years before last.

Rask is injured and said he'll retire if he doesn't get resigned by the Bruins.

My guess would be Buffalo wants Peyton Krebs, Reilly Smith, Alex Tuch and the Vegas Knights 1st round pick, that's the only deal I'd accept from VGK.

So I read that the 2 prize UFA Buffalo wants to sign from our own is D Jake Mccabe and G Linus Ullmark, I think McCabe is going to go somewhere else but am I the only one who doesn't want Linus back on the roster next year? I thought aside from injuries that he was an average goalie and I want someone else manning the position.

Let's face it, if Eichel is traded we wouldn't have to tank but hopefully we can be competitive and entertaining which is all you can really ask for in a young team but hope for more of course.

Our GM didn't even know if our Captain was skating or not, I'm pretty sure it's common that management and players are in their own worlds imo.

A goalie has to be in play for us right? Frederik Anderson perhaps? Had a very down year but before that was lights out for Toronto.

I'm going to guess we sign RW Kyle Palmeri and G Jonathan Bernier.

Because we got rid of the 3 problems and now play as a cohesive unit with no individual player thinking they're bigger than the team.

Absolutely it was, you had a player say he wasn't going to play here and still got a 1st round pick and what could be our starting goaltender. Look what Buchnevich got back in the trade for the Rangers, if you go over on twitter or NYR forums some are calling for Drurys head.

You hang up on them if Suzuki isn't in the deal like we did with NYR when they offered nobody worth a damn imo. STick with the 4 assets since we don't have to trade Eichel even though I hope we do if the return helps this franchise.

You don't think we have some good prospects? This goalie, Mittlestadt, Dylan Cozens, Jack Quinn, Owen Power, Rasmus Dahlin? That's a pretty nice young core and hopefully our HC can get the best out of them.

I just think we'll be bad be ause so many kids in the lineup developing. I don't think we're purposely trying to lose games but it wouldn't hurt to get a player like Wright next season. I can't handle losing if the team is at least competitive and you can see improvement. I know that's not the consensus in here as I know I'm sure most want to win now but I try and be realistic and just don't see a contender...yet.

I'd rather go with a total youth movement then overpay again for a guy, let these kids grow together I say but that's just my opinion.

I'm sure the plan was never to get rid of any of them and to keep the core but when players are openly saying they don't want to play here and are open to be dealt then you can't keep those types of players around, those are the culture killers that plague teams like ours and as much as I liked Reinhart and Eichel they have been playing together for years and still can't get us a playoff birth so something needed to give at some point. You state no players in return but Hagg is most likely a stop gap for a season and I'm going to assume GMKA made the deal thinking the G was going to be our starter or at least compete for the job whether some like it or don't it appears to be that way and we got more draft picks in case certain players dont work out so I believe we got a few guys and if Eichel is dealt I'm assuming most of the help will come from that trade.

I fully expect to bre near the bottom of the league but if the kids look competitive and improve season to season that is what I'm hoping for.

We're about to find out if Sam, Risto and Jack were the problems. I don't love the return but it was better than what the Rangers got for Buchnevich and if we change the culture of that locker room also it will be huge for us.

After seeing what the Rangers got for Buchnevich I wasn't very excited about this trade but I believe Sam, Risto and Jack are part of the culture killers here imo so I think fresh start is a must for those 3.
