Byram was traded straight up for Casey Middlestadt who we weren't going to re-sign obviously since we dealt him so no assets given up other than an even swap and you're correct, finally an asset given up but we also got a 25 year old C in the deal but we did give up a 1st round talent at the time so I'll give that to Adams I reckon. I can't really fathom how anyone could actually believe this, there is a huge list of players that have no- no movement clauses and I'm talking a hefty list where those players have no say in where they want to be traded. I know they won't because there is 0 accountability with this team but Peterka has been absolutely abysmal, gave the puck over 3 times and was literally floating instead of taking RNH on that goal, his ass should be benched for several games.

I hope they re-sign Reimer, regardless when this team collapses in the 3rd he's been a bright spot and I can't remeber when we had a solid backup goalie, heck he could probably battle UPL as I haven't liked his play at all this season.

Not entirely differently, I do want a solid veteran like him just not a 31 year old who's best days are behind him and is a liability defensively. Get a solid 2 way forward who has some life left, there has to be 1 out there with a NTC.

He is a defensive liability which is why the Canucks don't mind parting with him and we already have plenty of those on the roster currently. I don't see where he adds anything different other than toughness to this squad imo.

If they fired every scout, GM, all the assistant coaches and replaced them with upgrades then it would show this thing is headed in the right direction. I'm fully expecting the Sabres to hire Fortin as GM and Appert as HC and this will set us back at least another 5 years. Hire a legit GM who has won in some cpacity, keep Lindy as HC, get all new assistants who again have won something. Or if you're going to hire a first time GM, poach someone who is on a winning organization.
