I didn't like the Granato hire since to me it was a cheap, safe hire. I didn't like the Ruff hire because it seemed like a moved just to get people to come back to the building instead of finding the right guy for the job imo. Why would anyone take this job knowing you can't even pick your staff? Why would you want to keep the exact same guys who weren't that good the previous 3-4 years? It's mind boggling when you think about how poorly this organization is run.

If we all know he’s not worth the contract I’m pretty sure all GMs around the league do also. That contract is most likely a buyout and I doubt Pegula would agree to that imo.

So if 93 points is where we need to get in the playoffs we would need to win 22 games out of the remaining 29 games left not to be a buzz kill.

I hope we re-sign Reimer, he's a solid backup. It was a solid all around win to make it 4 in a row. Just makes you think if we even cut that losing streak we had earlier in the year in half we would be in playoff contention at the very least.

The fact that they had to take a day off to address sticking up for your teammates says it all. This shouldn’t need to be addressed it should be natural but nothing about this team is natural imo.

Did you watch the game? Noesson smashed Tucker in the back after he scored, that wont show up on the hit counter. Quinn got crunched, Thompson got knocked out of the game. Are you really trying to defend this?

What a terrible take, as soon as that hit happened they knew we were spineless jelly fish from being able to destroy Tucker from behind, then Thompson with a cheatshot. The entire game changed and they were running all over us, the only reason we won is because UPL was standing on his head. I've never seen a team not respond to a hit like that ever accept the Sabres once again when Lucic ran our goalie, let me guess that was alright with you also?

Gutless cowards, year in and year out. We'll get a guy like Pettersson and he'll take 1 elbow to the head and be done and these cowards will do nothing. Ship them all out!!!

We got manhandled by New Jersey so i could only imagine the embarassment this team would be in the playoffs. I can't remember the last time I've seen a tough as nails Sabres team who actually stuck up for teammates... Rob Ray days? Andrew Peters? It just never ends with them. Noesen absolutely drilled Zucker in the back and only Zucker stuck up for himself then took out Thompson also.

You can go around the league and say this about many centers in the league, this position seems to be evolving and I believe if Tage Thompson can play the position then Juri Kulich should have no issues although my hope is 1 of Noah Oslund or Konsta Helenius becomes a legit supertar because I like Kulich or Thompson on line 2, I just don't feel Thompson is a 1st line center as he's a great shooter but the rest of his game needs some serious work imo.

How many open nets have this team missed this season?

Me to although I like the toughness of the 2 players Calgary gave up I do believe the Flames got the better overall players in return even though points wise this year they seem fairly even.

There are some heated rumors talking about a trade between the Calgary Flames and Philadelphia Flyers including Jacob Pellitier, Andrei Kuzmenko for Joel farabee and Morgan Frost but there could be more per Elliotte Friedman.
