Anatomy of Failure - Sabres Losing streak hits 10 games.
GoPuckYourself replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Yet nothing changes, 0 accountability like usual. Who is running our power play? Whoever it is should be demoted or fired (if it's Appert, demoted), why did we retain all of Granato's terrible coaches? They need to be let go and a brand new ideas implemented. Same with the penalty kill, why are we ok with this as an organization inept or not if I was the owner of this ***** show I would be demanding change. -
Wayne Gretzky Eviscerated Power on National TV
GoPuckYourself replied to Big Guava's topic in The Aud Club
Adams is failing these kids miserably, the smart thing to do when you have young offensive minded defensemen is not adding more young offensive minded defensemen. Adding veteran defensive minded defensemen who can move the puck is the wise choice but expecting a whole group of 20 year olds who aren't great at defense and asking them to become that with no guidance other than coaching them up is just plain stupid. When we traded Middlestadt for Byram I really liked the player but he was more of what we already had here. Listen to the Kevin Adams past interview, he said he knew what they were getting in Power and that he wasn't much of a hitter and needed to work on his defensive game. So if he knew this why not go out and trade for a veteran defensive dman to possibly help the kid out? Ok I'm just rambling now but this to me is more on Adams and i have no doubt if he goes to a legit team he's going to flourish like so many others do elsewhere. -
Watching theo Fleury go nuts after scoring off the Messier turnover or him riding the stick was so much fun, also whoever did the diving on their stomach, or what about Ovechkin when he would jump at the glass to trigger the crowd after his goals? Man I miss those, hockey is kind of dull to me right now I'm not going to lie. It's frowned upon to celebrate, frowned upon to fight and they call the NFL the no fun league?

Samuelsson is literally gaurding the air when there is a guy directly off to UPL's right. -

We also haven't set ourselves up for much success having an entire defensive core of all young inexperienced, puck moving dmen. -

This is on Adams, you can't have all these young defensemen in and expect different results. Each line should have 1 defensive veteran defensemen not all young puck movers it's absolutely ridiculous. I don't mean some washed veteran like Eric Johnson. -
I watched some of his Youtube videos and man does his shot look lethal. I'd definitely be taking shots on guys like this that's if he makes it to us but I hope he's someone we would take and not pass him up because of his eligibility.

I agree with this, although Cozens hasn’t lived up to his hype yet. I think there is much more for him to give. We have some center prospects in the pipeline none of them have the physicality of Cozens which we should be trying to obtain more of imo.

I don't want Adams making a singular move for this roster. He has failed miserably at every aspect of his job now we're going to ask him to make a monumental move like this? I really hope he's canned before he can further destroy this roster. What realistically is a team willing to give up for Dylan Cozens? I don't want draft picks. I'd either want a top 6 forward or a top 4 Dman which I doubt a team is looking to get rid of their top 6 forawrd for a struggling top 6 forward. So what top 4 Dman would be acceptable?
-
How about that Russian kid Ivan Ryabkin? I say we keep taking Russian forwards until we find our Kirill Kaprizov. He surpassed Michkovs U17 point total by 2 which is impressive. He's under contract with the MHL until 2027 but the same was said about Michkov, this is a player I'd take a flyer on for sure.

Thanks, this is all I was looking for was some proof.

I'm not playing baby games with you man, either drop the link or don't.

I figured as much. It's like twitter in here, people can just say anything they want with no facts at all.

Show me where you read this, this seems conjured up.

I don't believe that to be true, there are only 32 GM job openings in the NHL, if you're sitting on the couch or in a lesser role in some other orginization then I think this would be very appealing to a GM but I could be wrong. I really hated when Adams only went out and traded for Greenway, it was a great trade but we needed more but this whole "I don't want to block anyone" is garbage, who are you blocking? If there legit NHL players they'll find a way into the lineup. This guy just isn't good enough or experienced enough to make the necessary moves to get us not only in the playoffs but keep us there also.

I just don't believe this to be true at all, so everything they've done right is dumb luck, everything bad is because they meddle? And take Josh Allen out of the equation and what do you have? Ok take Tom Brady away from the Pats, take Patrick Mahomes from the Chief, that's a terrible argument imo. I'm pretty sure Pegula has alot of say at least on the hockey side of things but I don't think it's lack of trying at least for head coaches... He wen't with with old coaches Ted Nolan/Lindy Ruff/Dan Bylsma, new coaches in Ron Rolston/Phil Housley/Don Granato and the outside the box hire of Ralph Krueger. Also I don't think it was a lack of trying for players either as they drafted Jack Eichel and he stayed with matt Moulson's family, had Brian Gionta as captain while bringing in guys like Evander Kane, Ryan O'Reilly, Brandon Montour. Also drafting Sam Reinhart, Linus Ullmark amongst other and later even adding Taylor Hall. Where I think we've gone wrong since Regier is that every GM we hired was a 1st time GM, this time around we should go with a GM who has done it before and even if he wasn't successful lately I think having any sort of past success will be beneficial to us but that's my take on it.
