  1. His defensive play will always be the question. I see everytime he scores a goal some poster on here writes something like "I was told he was a bust". His offensive play has gotten better but I still see the same mistakes, like falling down the other night and creating the odd man rush or in the Pens game on the 2nd goal he was out of position basically not taking anyone and it's a common theme. I wouldn't give up on him yet but he needs to be paired with a solid defensive defenseman and I don't think we have that player yet imo.
  2. I knew Korab for smashing people through the Zamboni door not scoring goals.
  3. Solid game tonight, I'm not taking UPL out of this lineup. This kids getting valuable minutes and looking like he belongs at the same time.
  4. Tuch is going to be everything we've been missing, a power forward. He's going to bring a much needed element to this lineup. We don't need him fighting but he can dish out punishment, do all the dirty work along the boards, nobody is rushing him back, if the DRs believe he can go he's going to go and it will be fun to watch.
  5. If we're buyers I'm hoping whoever we get is tough, throws the body around and can clear the puck. If we're sellers the players OP mentioned seem correct. Miller, Hinostroza, Girgensons etc.
  6. Pysyk was literally useless just standing there on that goal, throw your stick or your body in front of the puck, do something at least.
  7. If UPL doesn't look out of place why not stay up with Tokarski?
  8. Or just stop falling down 1-2 times a game.
  9. https://www.nhl.com/news/rasmus-dahlin-gaining-notoriety-as-potential-no-1-pick-in-2018-nhl-draft/c-291598744 and there are other articles saying the same just google Rasmus Dahlin touted as generational talent.
  10. He was touted as a generational type of talent which is why he went #1 overall, yes he's played on awful teams but it would be 1 thing if the players he was playing with were making the awful plays and he had to compensate but it's actually the other way around. I get the age thing but I just don't get the age thing in this circumstance. He hasn't looked even remotely close to a generational talent let alone the 1st overall pick, these are just my opinions but i hope I eat crow in a few years and he is the next Victor Hedman, I'd be the first 1 to say i was so glad I was wrong trust me.
  11. He's done it to himself, he didn't need our help.
  12. Well then we better have Hasek 2.0 in net or just a super defensive defensmen playing alongside him because if we're going to give Dahlin 5-6 more seasons of playing this way then it's going to be brutal. I truly hope I'm wrong and everybody else is right but to me he looks far from special and I'd figure I'd see something that shows me otherwise by now.
  13. I want to believe this but you can't just keep blaming mental errors on his age. He's been our top defensemen since 2018, at what point do we start saying he's super talented but he makes too many mistakes to compensate for his talent? I want to believe it's just because he's young but I don't see toughness, i don't see him getting the puck and clearing it with ease in our own zone, I've seen him numerous times just this season on the power play either give up a puck that goes back the other way.
  14. Go in numerous previous games on this forum and it's the same bs game in and game out. Either he coughs up a puck that ends up in the back of the net, stands around while pucks are going in the back of the net, a goal called back because he doesn't even know when he's offsides, I mean how can anyone have an excuse for him anymore? The guy has been our top defensemen since what... 2018? And he regresses what seems like every year on either side of the puck.
  15. The good thing is Dahlin will most likely get us Shane Wright all by himself. Is that game #10 he's lost for us? I can't keep up anymore. Where is that random guy who says all he needs is more time in the NHL?
  16. I totally disagree with this, Dahlin is putting himself and the goaltender in these situations every game, mostly multiple times per game. Tokarski at times has stood on his head. At what point do you start saying ok he's very talented but he's a huge liability not worthy of retaining. Instead if benching him for his poor play we keep feeding him more minutes.
  17. Really man? Come on, I mean if you like the guy fine but did he not give the puck away twice that ended up as goals? Yes we all know there are goalies who make the stops but giving away pucks when we have weak goaltending is a must not and he does it 2-3 times per game. Are you really comparing Lidstrom to him? Really? Lidstrom didn't have to throw his body around he actually knew how to play the position. I don't dislike Dahlin merely for the fact that he's not a tough guy I just don't like his overall game.
  18. Again and I'll say this every time, he is a liability on defense, great that he gets 60 pts but if he's giving up 2-3 goals a night because he's clueless on how to stop the opposition then what good is he? Victor Hedman throws his body around , Dahlin is a wuss.
  19. Well all we can hope is Tokarski comes back soon and healthy.
  20. Good, about time this team showed some backbone!
  21. Head scratcher, is he better than Dell? I guess we'll see. My guess is he's the same.
  22. I didn't think much of him before this season, I think he's a middle tier player maybe with the potential of more now. So you're a 13 year old resorting to this? I thought this was for adults I'll know better now when you post something.
