I still wouldn't rule out a trade of Kane for another top defensemen and maybe buying out Bogo if that happens, just my opinions.

I think it's a win-win for both teams really, the Wild needed much needed cap relief, now they don't have to lose D Matt Dumba and they can resign Granlund since they got 5M in cap relief with this trade. For us we get a top 2 line defensemen, he obviously isn't a goal scorer, he doesn't hit either but he's a guy who will get the puck out of our own zone fast, plays the boards well and is a 20 min a night player, we also got someone to take Ennis off our hands which is friggin awesome, he's been a disappointment for quite awhile, I'm not a fan of Pomminstein, I wasn't a fan of him back in the day and now he's basically a shell of that person but he'll be a good mentor for our kids which is essential.

I don't expect any big splashes, I think we'll bring up and develop our own from here on out. We have the nucleus (Eichel, Reinhart, O'Reilly, Okposo, Ristolainen, McCabe) , most teams would be quite happy with that and I hope we now have the coach who can bring out the most in them and a GM who will keep stocking the shelves with talent.

I gave it an A, I hated the position Casey Mittelstadt plays since were so deep there but I think he'll eventually be a top 6 as a winger, I also think Luukkonen is going to be our goalie of the future. I don't have a doubt in my mind GM Botterill is going to make a trade around the Free Agency mark trading Kane for an established scorer like him for a puck moving defensmen, I'm thinking Vatanen.

I like Vatanen over Hamonic, I hope we can swing a deal , Kane for Vatanen. Since we drafted like 3 or 4 wingers already today :w00t:

How do we know who the BPA is if none of these kids have played at an NHL level? It's such a stupid comment, if the draft is a crap shoot you take a position/positions you're most vulnerable at and you try to improve it. Last I looked our C's were pretty solid, people are saying he'll transition into a winger, I don't even play the game of hockey on a semi pro level so who know, maybe he can't make that leap, we also just drafted that Rasmus Asplund guy last season who was also a C, I really hope this transition to a wing is easy because if not we have many wasted picks about to be coming up oh and our defense still looks like a giant heap of sheet.

With the 8th pick in the 2017 NHL draft, the Buffalo Sabres select.... LHD Juuso Valimaki (6'2" 212 lbs.) I think he'll be the pick if we don't trade LW Evander Kane for a Defensemen.

I'll be surprised if they don't trade Kane by the end of draft day, I don't forsee him resigning with us and he'll never be of more value than right now, get that stud defenseman and draft another forward, hopefully Nylander is ready, if not Baptiste or Bailey need to step up, If they trade Reinhart that seems very counterproductive to me.

Incarcerated Bob is a hack like many other hacks on twitter. If you're going off what he says it's a lie like everything he puts out there once in awhile he hits and that's when people start believing he's more than a hack. If you can get one of the premier goal scorers in the league for just Reinhart and #8 overall I'd do it in a heartbeat and I'm sure the new Sabres GM would as well, it won't ever happen.

Just like Buffalo fans to overvalue players, Carrier is nothing more than a bottom tier player. He or Ennis could have been exposed and it would be 1 in the same, there is no shocker here, after the top 6 players, we don't have much imo.

I want someone who can run a high flying offensive attack and bring the defensemen up in the play as well, give me Sheldon Keefe, 36 years old, seems to really have the kids minds in the right places, I'd like to see this team be more innovative, give Keefe a shot.

I say they get Kane or the #8 overall pick, I went with kane because the Ducks need more goal scoring and would fill a huge need for them and vatanen although a RHD can also play the left side effectively as well, plays on the PP and a penalty killer, he was 2nd on the ducks in TOI 21 + a night and Ritchie would be a solid power forward for us. We now have the 8th pick to take a D or winger prospect.
